lol, only thing there good for is taxing :S other then that I prefer the mouse.

Guy in my clan uses a joystick instead of a keyboard in addition to a mouse. Absolutely swears by it.

Cant for the life of me remember who was flying us with a joystick a while ago - Chuc maybe?

Did some smooth stuff I just dont think can be done as well with a keyboard.

Diving in from high above to swoop low, pull up and land last second. Much more repsonsive.

firehawk has a joystick (I think).and Boher.

does ancient?,hes a smooth pilot.

I have a joystick, its much easyer then mouse plus its good for arma as well. If your going to buy one stay away from logitech they dont last long, get a saitek

I do have a stick, but I'm horrendous with chopper flying with it. Its much much better for jet flying though

Joystick for me... absolutely cannot use the mouse/kb at ALL.... seriously if you hear anything about me losing my joystick... run for the hills lest you be crushed by my flailing blackhawk

I use keyboard only, no mouse. Been using the keyboard to fly since BF1942. I find that I can control everything ALOT better using buttons than moving your mouse heaps. Only thing I find hard to do is in the A10 hitting long range targets with your cannon. I tried a joystick in BFV and went back to the trusty keyboard in 10 minutes. BF I find just isn't that great with joysticks, leave them to the flight sims.

I'm a joystick man, can't fly with kb or mouse to save my life.

I think it all depends on what you get used to.

I find a joystick much much much easier,

but then bulletmagnet fly's with a kb and mouse and would never use a joystick - don't need to mention what his flying is like.

I use nothing but keyboard and the only reason I ever go down is generally when my machine decides its not happy rending everything that fast and It chugs me out of the sky. However I noticed that flying in ARMA is allot less friendly to keyboards and if I played that game seriously I would invest in a large 7 or 8 button joystick so I could use all the dam functions that game has.

 

Ablack I thought Bullet used a joystick ? I could be wrong though.

Keyboard and mouse. Sensitivity up max.

 

Mouse is better for fine adjustments like hovering and all that jazz. Joystick is better for pulling out of a potentially fatal dive.

I only use the keyboard only for anything that is not a dedicated flight sim.

same, I find joysticks horrible and weird in games except flight Sims. Where the good old yoke when you need it

ive been using an old MS Sidewinder for any kind of flying in games, flying with a mouse just doesn't feel right and never works out for me. so the joystick helps for me, a new one might be in order tho because I've had this same one for more than 10 years and it has a tendency to pull to the right when in the neutral position so turning right is fast, but turning left is slow.

just now on Kashan, someone on our team (US) was doing some amazing flying in the apache. i stopped with enemies all around me just to watch this guy dodge and weave around gunfire and missiles. it made me wonder why i havnt been able to do that with the joystick yet. anyway whoever that was, great work!

I want to get one, but I want to know its going to be better for flying choppers as we don't see any jets in the game. Hmmmm.

 

I guess I could just get one from dicksmith then return it within 14 days. lol.

If you do Daveee, get a saitek, supposed to be the best.
