October 17, 200717 yr -Big Banana Coffs Harbour. -Big Prawn (actually a shrimp?) at Ballina, but not the fish & chips shop there... -North Brother Mountain, West Haven (Camden Haven) (Dooragang Nat Park) -Depending on your timing, I'd stay at Lennox Head, Yamba, Coffs (night life), Port Macquarie (Flynns Beach) or Laurieton (30 mins south) on the way past, Harrington/Crowdy Head if you're into avoiding towns. -Get to Bellingen Markets if you can. October 17, 200717 yr Just keep away from where I work and you will be fine Nah mate welcome to the REAL Australia where everyone is laid back, the weather is warm, the girls are hot and the beer is COLD. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png

October 17, 200717 yr LOL depends on your perspective Vis. IMO If you wanna see the real Australia, you've gotta drive via Birdsville and/or Inaminka on the way back. The bulk of Australia is something that most Aussies dont even appreciate, being urban coasties. But it probably wouldn't be as much...fun...as a coast trip including Goldie, Sydney & Canberra Edited October 17, 200717 yr by McCloud Where's the cheese? http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png
October 17, 200717 yr Author One day I want to drive right up the middle to Darwin, that would be fun. I can be a true Aussie and drive with a stubby in hand as it's in the middle of nowhere. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. October 17, 200717 yr No speed limit either I did the drive up the middle o' Aus once. It's really really empty and really really red. Not saying it was bad or anything just don't do it if you don't like being completely in the middle of nowhere, and the colour red.
October 17, 200717 yr Author Sounds similar to the middle of Canada but we have a lot of swamps which means big ass mossies. Also depending on the year the middle of Canada is dead flat with wheat etc on either side of the higway that you can't see over. So imagine driving for 2 days where the highway disappears at a point in the distance with a wall on either side of you. A lot of people fall asleep which is not too big a deal as they wake up plowing through a cornfield. Still I'm glad I did it and will be happy to do it here as well, so long as the aircon isn't broken. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. October 17, 200717 yr lol... yes... setting up and putting down a tent almost every day was a bit draining.... best bit was a little town called 1770 which is an hour or so from Bundaburg... sat around getting pissed. which might explain the most memorable moment... walking down the main road of Bundaburg at 9.30 am looking for a coffee shop... walk past a pub and see people inside drinking beer... me and my gf look at each other and say look at those sick drunks.. take another ten steps and say.. 'you know what... I could go a beer right now'.... must be the climate up there... worst bit getting busted by the GF going 160klms down a single lane dirt road between cairns and karumba (I thought she was asleep). http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png

November 7, 200717 yr Author I had a great time other than the over the top cops in Brisbane. I got hassled for walking my pushy down the street as my helmet was in my backpack. They stopped me and demanded to see it, it was like being in America!!! Other than that I had a great time. I loved Byron Bay, Nimbin had the best Parma I've ever had and I was sober! They where so honest there that when the gf asked for no chips she says 'Oh, well you can't pay full price then" and knocked a couple of bucks off. Oh and a glass of wine for $1.70! I went surfing and got really drunk in Byron. Sydney was really cool also and I spent a very warm day in the pub which was perfect. I love Australia! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. November 7, 200717 yr I had a great time other than the over the top cops in Brisbane. Ha welcome to Brisbane mate where everyone is laid back expect our cops I think its because we have had a influx of Dik-torian cops moving up here over the last 3 or 4 years. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
November 7, 200717 yr Yes I love those victorian number plates "Victoria, The Place To Be". If victoria is the place to be then why are so many of them up in queensland? joking joking... And then don't get me started on queensland number plates "Smart State" hah. So how do you become an expert suicide bomber? teabagging is for kids .... Real Men "Potato Sack".
November 8, 200717 yr Author Well actually there is a huge campaign to get people to move to Queensland on TV down here. Lots of jobs and opportunity and one thing I noticed about Australians is that most of you are not as fond of the cold as I am so that is an incentive right there and a reason I will not be coming up there in the summer. I think it could actually kill me you crazy people. Vis, I have noticed that Victorian cops are a bit uncaring. Not like the Brisbane I'm bored so I'll hassle you but the I don't give a rats ass if he's bleeding on the street leave me alone kind of attitude. That example is actually a real one when I found a crazy man on the road bleeding and I could not get the cops to go over and help and had to do it myself........ Not quite what I expect from a person who I pay with my tax dollars to serve and protect. Ozpainman, I love the sig. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. November 8, 200717 yr Re the Sig That came from the Benazir Bhutto bombing. They were interviewing a police chief after the bombing and he said something like "Oh yes, it is obviously a professional suicide bombing" and I thought, How the hell do you get to be a professional suicide bomber! Re the weather Yes its easy to spot the mexicians in summer up in north queensland. They are the people who look like plastic toys that just spent 20 mins in a medium oven..... So how do you become an expert suicide bomber? teabagging is for kids .... Real Men "Potato Sack".
November 8, 200717 yr Author Mexicans?
