Posted September 30, 200717 yr Is it just me, or is this map way unbalanced? On a normal 26p map in every other way , with four flags, start at both ends with only mains pre-capped, seemingly 'standard' ticket bleed - but the big problem is the rebel's guns are way worse that the brits. While it is still fun, the rebels need more in their favour IMO. I'd be interested to see the server stats for this map. Perhaps its one to be left off in favour of 32p? Where's the cheese? http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png
September 30, 200717 yr Yup, some of us were saying the same thing last night. The chinese have to assault from below, the brits can get up high and pick the chinese off.. The chinese need access to a the top of the temple from their starting flag, that would probably balance it out. Also, the chinese get funnelled through one staircase too?? October 1, 200717 yr Mestia is the British Vs Militia map as opposed to Seven gates which is British Vs Chinese which I believe Jim is talking about here. I've only played Mestia 16 once and that was last night and I would say that the British team I was playing won it quite easily but I can hardly make a decision on a single battle. You might be right though give the map another few rounds and we will see what everyone has to say about it. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
October 1, 200717 yr The Brits have proper medics and better body armor, but I would not say that their weapons are better. In Mestia the typical engagement range is below 50 meters, this effectively neutralizes the British scoped weapons, also the AK (more damage), and PPSH (70 rnd mag) are superior to the brit weapons within these close ranges. I have won as militia plenty of times on Mestia, the reason we lost last night was because Vis and his boyz plain out played the militia. I know coz I was on his squad for half the round then I got team swapped so I saw both sides of the coin.
October 1, 200717 yr Dont mind me, I was thinking of 7gates 16p... Former Head Admin Check out the current admin list HERE
October 1, 200717 yr Mestia used to be worse, at least the British have a chance now before it was way one sided. Not that I cared I love this map and even have blast when getting my butt handed to me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. October 1, 200717 yr Author I played 16p mestia a few more times on the weekend and agree that it can be won both ways. Wow some of those 16p maps are over quickly if you lose the central flag at the start. Very intense though! Where's the cheese? http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png
October 2, 200717 yr yes the British in the 64 player map got F,d on because of the bottle neck of the apcs and the milta Hat which i must add was very fun but the whole point of the milta army is that the SL has a svd and there are other sniper rifles so making the British unable to out range them so forcing them to come in close for the ak to do damage. so i say if you want a good working milta SQ then have the SL with the officers kit with one other person with the other sniper rifle (which i dont know the name of) idiots are hardcoded
October 2, 200717 yr Pretty sure Daveee is right on that one, theres no question the militia squad leader is the best equipped in the game. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
October 12, 200717 yr I've never even seen the twin Uzi!!! Where is that located and is it also in the 64 player map. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/SirChuc/smokejumper3.jpg http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpg Or as one of many thousands of Canadians have said, my guns are at the bottom of that lake. October 12, 200717 yr Isn't that on Karshan not Mestia ? http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
October 12, 200717 yr Yes Kasharn. There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/goodconduct.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/riflemanspecialist.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/infantryofficer.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bullettime.bmp reportplayers@bigdgaming.net

October 12, 200717 yr Yep there are some interesting kits on some maps if you know where to look, including M82 and M95 50. cal sniper kits. Next time you see me on Mestia I'll show you where to look. Also in Quai, Basrah, and 7 Gates it may be wise to keep your eyes open. Edited October 12, 200717 yr by mrchickenfool
