First Strike is nearing its release date of the 28th of September. It will be a full version, first release with lots of goodies. This includes space combat, Jedi-less, infantry combat and walkers galore! I was wondering if there is any interest in playing this mod, specifically on these servers?

I'll give it a go, if I can find my 2142 discs. GSA have a 2142 server set up, they might put that over to First Strike if there is support there.

First Strike = only sane reason to still have BF2142 installed.

I got it on EA downloader ages ago and I can't seem to get it running. Has a patch been released recently?

GA said they are aiming to have a server up by the end of the day.

Hopefully GSA can get one too & bd gets behind the game & forms a community, since i dont see it lasting long here .

doesnt look too much like run & gun, from the video it looks like an at-st can be taken down in 1 shot.(just like the movies .

 

As for a wookiee, i saw they HAVE a skinned wookiee model, but dont think its in this version

It's available to download and GSA's one and only 2142 server is now running it.

Well its not bad, would be better playing with teamwork. The guns are so damn inaccurate so its not like PR where you can snipe people from 2km away with an assault rifle, its more like struggling to hit people 20m away. Space maps are pretty cool. If you have 2142 then download it and play.

Ok iv had a look at it and space combat in this game is awesome and the fighting in this game is intense just need a order for capping flags and this game would own which I told the moders seems like they will do it. And the entire time I was playing I got no lag what so ever which is refreshing coming from PR. So all in all this game may in time defeat PR which will happen sooner if PR continues to decay from patch to patch. PR 0.6 was way better then 0.61 it seems PR getting more horrible by every patch.

What makes you say that?? I think its better because at least the rally points give ammp now and the maps are balanced. I dont understand what you could pick on that is worse off than 0.6

I'd hazard to say that the whole australian PR community thinks the latest patch is an improvement on 0.6 (except you)
