For the past while i haven't seen anyone on the PR BF2 Australian server. Do people still play on it? i would like to play on it as FCV is not always reliable. i Haven't been around for too long but i found your forum today so i thought I'll ask.

Hey mate, firstly welcome to the forums!

The BigD PR server has been particularly quiet lately, there's not much going on at all. I know a lot of regulars are onto playing other stuff (ARMA2/3 with various mods and what not) and others are busy with real life (exams/work etc).

I'm keen to jump on one of these days though, I haven't played PR in ages.

 

There's a thread I bumped the other day (PR TONIGHT) which is where we've generally posted to get numbers on the server and to organise the maps wanted etc.

just needs a few players that enjoy leading squads to get things going again. anyone interested to put there hands up send me a pm and lets see if we can work something out

Would be happy to re-commence the organised weekly or fortnightly community night event sign ups as long as those who say they will be coming turn up and not just go to the other servers within 5 minutes of joining. With the events we did organise not long ago we averaged 20-28 players on the server at a time with plenty of Australian and New Zealand players also over on other servers at the same time. So if we all can spread the word that these community nights can attract a good number of players and the ping and atmosphere is top notch (which for the most part it was better than the Amercian servers even with the relatively smaller numbers on) then we shouldn't have a problem reaching 40+ players at the least with the possibility of attracting players from other countries depending on the time the event is running, population on other servers, etc.

I'm always keen for a PR battle!

I've seen some old players on OS servers over the last few weeks, so there is still interest out there.

I've played my best PR battles on bigD servers over the years and I'm still lookin for more!

I'll be logging-on regularly on weekend evenings looking for a fight.

I usually play on FCV through the weekend but i'll keep an eye out over here if some of you guys want to have a game.

it's been a week and i've seen no mail in my inbox

sad to say madhouse but without a dedicated core of people to push the server with the gameplay that made PR so appealing to so many in the past, the bigD servers are going to remain empty.

Well, hopefully whenever PR2 comes out enough Aussies will be interested.

I'd love to get back into it, but I've been quite busy with year 12 this year, so that's cut down my chances to play a lot

And next year I'll be busy with military training, so I probably won't have time to play regularly until 2016, by which point PR2 might be out...

It's quite saddening, knowing that I'll probably never be able to play this fantastic game properly again, but that's the way it is for me.

Unfortunately BigD has hit a wall - the introduction of 100 player servers was kinda the knife in the chest. Playing 25/64 is okay. Playing 25/100 feels kinda off.

I'd love to have games on aus servers - but the best we can do atm is playing overseas with fellow australians. Thankfully there's a server located on the west coast, and we get reasonable ping.

 

Would be good to plan events, but even then i doubt we'd get numbers

Everyone hopes there are a certain numbers playing regularly, then he/she is willing to play. I have to admit that the PR passion had faded away.
