urghhh nvida sucks imo, i bought a GTX 670 OC 2gb, i've had a 485M too, endless trouble. ATI is where it's at. The new 200 series cards are great and cheaper.

But i would take everyone heres advice with a grain of salt, bias opinions! Check out toms hardware or something similar

EDIT: as far as value goes, can't go past a R9 270X, if you're within the 200-250 market, would be silly to get anything else, unless you find some super sweet sale

I'm running an ATI R9 270X Dual on a system similar to yours Madhouse. Runs all my games on Ultra(Arma 3, Watchdogs and BF4).

Sort of approaching this from the medium range gamer. I use a GTX560TI great card and affordable, runs most modern things at high / ultra. Back in the day I scooped it up for $250,

I would recommend the newer GTX660TI, it should be in a similar price bracket. Or if you want you can venture into the 700's

Let's go, let's go overground

Im using MSI 7950 TF 3GD5/OC since early 2013, run almost every games in Ultra and some in High. R9 270X would be a great choice, cuz it performs similarly to 7950, maybe slight better?
yeah ive got the r9 270x and it ultras every game i have......I have a lot of games.
