Hardline it is. EA has set up a page on the Battlefield website confirming that Battlefield Hardline will be revealed on June 9 at 12:00 Pacific. The webpage confirms a rumor from earlier today that Hardline is a cops-and-robbers take on Battlefield, trading military warfare for vault-bustin' and Heat-style shootouts. And that rumor wasn't the first Hardline leak—an earlier rumor from back in February claimed the game was being developed by Dead Space developers Visceral Games.

 

EA's image above depicts a SWAT truck and robbers fleeing a vault. The unofficial Battlefield Daily twitter account has also dug up some strong evidence confirming Hardline's heist theme: weapons like grappling hooks, a Hardline logo, and vehicles such as a police cruiser and SWAT truck.

 

So cops and robbers: Battlefield-style, sounds genuinely interesting to be honest, will be watching this one.

Hopefully if done right it will be really good. Brings back memories of playing Cops and Robbers on GTA4.

Interesting take I guess, aside from GTA and maybe those Island Life mods for ArmA, I can't think of any other game that would have Battlefield's size whilst focusing on a cops and robbers theme.

What do you mean tick rate? Is that like the dodgy old 'netcode hitbox lagging players' stuff of BF2? If so, it was damn hard shooting pilots out of helicopters on wake island

maybe I have fraised it wrong. I mean by how often the game refreshes itself between server and client, where something like counter-strike does this at 100rps bf4 currently does it at 10

unfortunately it is just BF4 by the look of things. I was hoping the gameplay was going to be a bit slower,

more tactical and at least provide more unique gameplay.

 

im not really seeing anything great in Battlefield Hardline. but will keep an eye on it for now.

 

Looks like another shameless EA cash grab IMHO. I would be more than happy to be proven wrong though.

I think its cool, but they should of made it as a dlc for battlefield 4, instead of entire new game.

Playing the beta at the moment and I'm actually liking it. Its alot more slow paced and focused than bf3/bf4 oh and the netcode seems to be a lot better

Played the beta, and i had the opposite reaction then you king. Netcode is what it was at the start of battlefield 4, and it isn't slow paced enough for this type of game Its still way too fast.

Im downloading the Beta now, ill probably just record myself screwing around and put it on my channel as a shameless viewer grab...
