So the question is, if we established a regular PR night whther it be on a weekly or fortnightly basis, which day of the week would you perfer to play on?

 

Also comment what time of the night would be best suited to kick off an event.

Friday and Saturday are both good for me, unless I'm working that is.

Maybe we don't ^ .. I realise it requires effort from this communities members but I for one would rather a decent game on a decent low ping server than head to some OS server we have no control over.

yep...but get the right attitude of the players in the server and it will work....hasn't happened yet but we can hope. no reason why we can't have an ozzie server that people outside of au/nz will come to to play if the gameplay and the admin support are correct

We have a PR server, which we have no 'regular' cost for except giving the odd donation towards GAU for the bandwidth we use, which as of late is almost nil. PR is on the end of its lifespan, no one will argue that point but why should those who are willing to support a server here, even if it is just one night every fortnight just go to the US? The last two weeks we have held community nights on our PR server, the max players we got was 23 but it was good fun - if more players come over from the US servers, it could have been ever better. It was worth the minimal setup effort required by the admin team to provide a fun night for those members who were willing to come play on a server with decent ping, relaxed environment and a supportive admin team in the back.

 

I am willing to organise a regular night for everyone as long as I get constructive feedback. I want us all to use the services provided generously by GAU more regularly, otherwise we may find ourselves in a situation where that game server is required elsewhere and if we are not using it at all it may just get taken off our hands. Easy to lose, could be hard to gain back - especially if we went into another game we really had a community desire to back that needs a game server. Otherwise renting a server would become an expensive venture.

 

I am also willing to throw my support behind any game the community wishes to involve itself in, if that means going to GAU and asking to redeploy the PR server or to look for a second server for a different game (we did have two PR servers), I’m happy to look into it as long as the community supports it and we get someone with lets say a passion for that game and takes a lead in promoting it to the community and promoting BigD externally. We can also provide the apporiare section for the game on the forum to give dedicated discussion and support. There is also the possibility of providing indepth FAQ pages, and the like of providing a landing page for a particular game that we could link out when we advertise on our game server, external websities, etc.

The possibilities are endless as long as members give their full support.

I'm overseas at the moment, surviving on 6Gb of data a month . But i'll be back soon enough to carry the team while Aux has all the fun

Ideally i'm sure we'd all like to come home from a long day of work or school and play some Project Reality every day. Personally I think the best days for it would be towards the end of the week. I voted Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Saturday works best for me as I usually have things on at night on Fridays.

Best time would probably be 7:00pm for me.

The main problem WE have is the large timezone differences, limited player base due to people either playing other games these days or simply moving on from the community.

 

We need fresh meat so to speak but one of the best ways to do that is to have a regular PR night and for ALL in the community to promote the regular event to the max and for the community to use all the nifty social media toys that people wanted and we have now provided.

 

People playing gets others interested, attracts new players/their friends.

Seems Saturday night is the one that suits those who have voted so far.

friday saturday sunday actualy any night im home. a regular start time is a must ie 7 pm E>S>T. if there are not enough players by 7.30 progress to another server.

Agree with dog, if it's up I join, if teams are balanced I stay - if not I go.
