I was speaking master camo today, and i was wondering if there was any interest in creating a AUS PR Tournament?

 

If theres enough interest then i am happy to take this to the head admins at PR and let them know of the potential.

10v10 or bigger?

 

I enjoyed the 10v10 Ladder but last one we had did not go so well. (Teams dropping out half way through)

 

I would be keen for a more organized World Tournament with large scale 50v50

 

Obviously for that to happen we would have to join forces with China and/or Japan. (Would need a English/Chinese speaking Commander)

Yeah, depending on numbers we could make what ever, but lets see how we go with the player amounts.

 

I think it would also be good to have the players who are involved we all sit down and we discuss rules etc. Obviously we cant account for everyone but we would do our best. We could also entise maybe some prizes from some sponsors. Mwave perhaps?

I'd be interested in this if any of the clans needs a merc.

I'd be more interested in larger battles, scrims/skirmish i can't see working.

Well Buzz, i think its time it comes back. I know alot of clans are leaving Battlefield 4 or have already left. Ive spoken to a few mates from other clans, AEF / LG / Xl5 and a few others and they are pitching the idea to their members.

 

In saying this as well. Ive been trying to work out whether a Clan v Clan would be a good idea? I was kinda thinking more of a Team v Team type thing where clans work with other clans etc, I think this would be alot more interesting for all involved, because then we wont be invoking wars between clans etc.

I agree with the Team v Team idea and it would be good for non clan community members as well, so that they don't get left out.

Ive written up a getting started document, but i have other documents already put together when i helped with 21cw.

I personally think a TvT would be better. Just it gives players opportunities to play with friends who are in other clans etc.

There's no clan out there, that could reliably field a 10v10 team other than Aux.

 

So that option is ruled out.. TvT it would have to be. Maybe like captains mode or something cool like that

Yes and no Yak, I think if the tournaments are run fairly and equally then "Clans" could quite easily flock to it. Which is what we want to do. Bring Australian players new and old to PR.

In saying this as well lads, Holzy also has permissions from PR to change things as we require, IE - Change out factions as we see fit etc.

 

We will probably aim at having a few casual rounds to start off with, Implementing the rules etc, but we wont be using it as a serious round.

I'm keen; be good to get some structured, well organised rounds going on a regular basis. I reckon a combination of CvC and TvT would be best. Have a few early rounds for teams, and then once attention is drawn due to the regular organised game nights hopefully there will be enough clans coming to throw in some clan scrims as well.

If this actually gets organised and happens, I'd love to participate.

Ah, the memories...

 

Australia narrowly knocked out by Germany in the first round of the inaugural (or was that the second?) PR World Cup a few years back.

 

Then there was the nearly-held Aus vs NZ 'Battle for the Ditch'. Before those, we ran campaigns as a community. Those were fun.

 

I guess all that info has been cleaned from these forums. Bummer, as there was some good stuff there - plenty of dramas but also plenty of good-quality PR.

Theres a few people who have stepped up and are willing to take the reigns with this as well, But we will have to do a recruiting drive, and in saying that as well, this hasnt be put on the PR forums, so im assuming we will get alot more players involved.

 

I think its important to note and put forward, that AUS players gets precedence.

 

But i will keep everyone in the loop when things are progressing.

I agree with kommando, if it all gets up and running i'm definitely up for it.

If your going to do a Pr Competition, do it sooner rather than later.

Are we on some kind of timeline?

The bigD community has a bit of a short attention span. If you take too long organising something like this people will lose interest. It's happened many times in the past.

 

If possible, try and get at least a concrete idea up within the next couple of weeks and planned matches before the end of next month. PR Australia is losing players, not gaining them
