As some of you may know, i just got a brand new computer to play around with. I've been trying to install BF2 so i can get PR again, but i'm having issues with the installer. My D drive isn't reading disc 4 of the BF2 deluxe edition that I own, so i tried using an external DVD/CD/R drive and it reads the disc fine, but I can't seem to get the installer to recognize the disc being in a drive. If anyone knows a solution to this it would be much appreciated. :blowup:

I've had similar problems before and I eventually ended up losing my DVD. So I just torrented the bf2 iso file and used my original CD key. I haven't had any problems with it over the past few years, however you'll still have to download the 1.41 and 1.5 patches.

 

I would link you to the file but I'm not sure how sensitive the BigDians are about torrents so I'd suggest to just google "Battlefield 2 kat"

 

Yup, that's the best way to do it. Or just buy it again on steam for like $10

I ended up getting it to work after a few hours, so all good; and had the patches saved from the last computer so they're installed. Just gotta download PR now. Thanks anyway guys.
