ok, Im hearing here and there that the new dedicated server files are making A3 servers run better than A2 ones

anyone from the other arma groups know anything? (ctb)

dont know any in aus that are using the pre-release files. hearing nothing but good things though

think it was released last night, had a download for a3

There is a new ALiVE version out

 

Server updated and ready to roll

 

This version is compatible with the new version of ARMA 3 (1.08)

Hey guys, long time no see.

 

I'm still on ARMA 2 at the moment and haven't really been up to date with ARMA 3 as the last time I checked it was an alpha or beta...or whatever.

 

Has it been fully released? If so, how's it going? Is it still all futuristic? are there any mods yet?

well to answer that in a bit of depth

as I know it now arma 3 is at a some what stable stage (last patch fixed alot)

and bohimia interactive have just released all the licences for the models and stuff from their previous games

so that has allowed for the community to start moving across all the content from arma 2 to arma 3

I would say in about 6 months we should have some sort of dlc that makes all the arma 2 content available in arma 3 without having to own arma 2

I think this is a good thing for those ( including myself) who aint a fan of the futuristic stuff

also big D are currently hosting 3 a3 servers now and we are just waiting on game modes to put on them so we can start filling them up

one public random game mode server

 

and one soon to be Tactical battlefield server http://www.bigdgaming.net/showthread.php?t=12294 (still waiting on that by the way)

 

so there will be something for everyone
