1.0 has been released and we've all been playing and tasting and seen a decent resurgence in server numbers and also new members on the forums and ingame. The server isn't played nightly but it's going pretty strong compared to people crying "the community is dead" not too long ago

 

Anyway, the show went on.

 

And with that, I wanted to broach to topic of the once popular 10v10! The prominence of clans around these parts seems to have lessened however that doesn't mean its' over

 

Those who have been around would admit that the 10v10 was some of the best PR they have played.

 

I wanted to gauge community interest for something like this. It doesnt have to be a ladder, could be some larger, organised matches here and there. I am pretty keen to see the organisation of planned and tactical games make a come back.

 

This is particularly a message to the newer players. A lot of you are the ones playing the server most of the time now. You should definitely be involved in the community.

I'm fairly new to the community, only been around for a month or so, so I don't have a clan/squad/group I play with or whatever.However I have gotten to know a few people in the servers while playing, but when it comes to playing, I play with whoever has a squad with an open slot.

 

EDIT: So I dunno how I would participate in this, but it does sound pretty cool.

Yep I'm in!! Either skirmish or planned larger maps.

Always up for some PR but not a big fan of skirmish. Larger maps, larger team matches are the pick for me if that's viable.

You can start a team, join a team or even just be a merc (one who fills in any spare spots on the night of a game!)

 

 

A combination of larger, organised games and a smaller skirmish ladder/league seemed to work last time. We just need to get some organisation around teams that may want to form and getting the numbers required for anything to actually last longer than 1-2 matches.

 

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions feel free to share. Post on your respective teams' forums to garner some more attention and interest too

Admins Vs People ?..

 

There are only a couple of us that are in clans......Well Captain Wolf, Buzz, Evilrooter.

There are only 15 admins all up but maybes we can get 10 peps for a round or 2 if we swap players out if its their clan we are killing.

I Heart 10v 10.

Buzz vs the bigD community perhaps? 1 on 99 could work.

Buzz would have to start off with a handicap like has to play as civi the whole game. Even then it would be close Buzz is OP

I think this might have the opposite effect.

I have heard that submox. Have you ever seen buzz go down? I've never seen so many medics appear out of nowhere when Buzz is wounded. Where the **** are they when I am.

I have seen Buzz fall many times, mainly when I'm looking at him through my sights. And as far as the medic thing goes, its very true. Lady GaGa has a smaller entourage, the secret that nobody knows is that he promises the nearest Medic that he will swap to whatever map they want if they revive him quickly and preserve his KDR. 100% fact.

I built a super computer..with super speed, and graphics...its been many years since i played..whilst i have the BF2 game...ive since changed comps 2 times..i wouldnt even know where to start...BUT..i want back in to PR
