Methods of sleep

So I've been without sleep for about almost 4 or 5 days now. Reason for it I am constantly chucking up everything I ate, more or less I have a stomach bug that won't quit. ( I don't need a doctor to tell me when I I'm sick with that much erupting activity).

I'm looking for ways to get better sleep. Yes this thread was made without certain bits of dinner sliding down my monitor.

Any suggestions gents before I can't see my screen

I find that staying up real late and creating useless topics on forums pretty good for it. Also, ignoring professional advice from trained medical personal can help, if that doesn't fix it try laying down in a horizontal position and closing your eyes.

It mostly last a few minutes

When I shut my eyes in the horizontal position

So when I try well....

5 or 10 minutes later

Same result burning throat and of course I'm a wake again

Sounds like you should see a doctor to figure out what it actually is.

4 to 5 days is quite a long time to be violently sick like that. Feeling crook is a different matter, but still shouldn't last longer than 4 days.

I haven't been sleeping properly lately, but that's a result of my weird study hours...

That'd be the normal path, but maybe I'm just a uncool conformist.

I believe that in this documentary, the last week of the selection course

the candidates had no sleep at all and got one meal of offal in the middle

of the week, all while navigating through bush, doing crazy endurance stuff,

problem solving, etc., etc.

...all of which hich probably doesn't help you much but short of applying for the SF barrier fitness

test and SAS selection (utter and ultimate exhaustion may assist insomnia)...

;)

Perhaps seeing a doctor would be a very good idea at this point.

For everything else sleep-related, there's always large quantities of bourbon.

I have very very little faith in the medical profession. Just about every visit to a doctor results in:

1 Let's do some tests (so their testing mates make money)

2 I'll write you a script for:

a. Cortisone

b. Antibiotics

c. Steroids

3 Mostly they seem to neither know nor care what the underlying problem is.

4 That much sleep loss, that much throwing up - go to a doctor (yes, go, I think you are in trouble.)

Could be severe anxiety, do you feel like you are about to die? (common symptom) Still agree with consensus tho, doctor is best option.
Where to mate' It's been a while...
when was the last time you had sex? ..... that puts me out like a light :) , if your "chucking up" get Ondansetron wafer , my kid had it when she was on chemo, and the wife had them when she was preg, they work the best. other thing is don't get medical advice from forms on the web ;) , if all else fails change your lifestyle, can you move? any one can come and stay at my place, just pm me :) but if your smart enough to just door knock me (hay Bahlye), I will let you stay :)

As much as I really would like a wiki page, I think I'll give it a miss.

I got a doctors appointment this arvo, so I'll find out then.

But I managed FINALLY to get 9 or 15 hours of godly sleep since yesterday. Still got to find out why the sickness though

Cheers gents
