Guys any clever ideas - it seems for most maps I get a freeze on load at about the 28/29% mark.

Try clearing the texture cache ? Defragment ?

Thanks Sandy - kicked off a defrag last night - so will see whether that helps!

Does it freeze on the loading bar and stay there or freeze and then crash to desktop ?.

How much ram and what GPU do you have ?.

 

If you go into your PR directory ( default path = C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr )* then scroll down till you find "pr error" ..is there anything in there from yesterday?.

If so then post then error message up .

 

If you really want to clean out your graphics cache then delete your cache in your Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache .

Yeah things turned to S4it mate - laptop gave me the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) so is now having surgery...
