April 16, 201312 yr several explosions across Iraq too. wonder if they are linked From what I've been reading the bombs in Iraq are aimed at the Government elections coming up - whereas I think the FBI et al. are thinking these are more from a homegrown extremist group. The consensus from what I've heard/read is that these are cheaper homemade stuff, not something an organised terrorist network would do. Big media swings into 24 hour coverage mode with nothing to talk about. A pair of bombs in Boston - 3 killed; 100 injured. I could have summed that up in about 2 minutes. April 19, 201312 yr If you're a bit slow on current events, One of the suspects has been shot down in a police chase and the other is currently on the run. There was a car chase in which the 2 suspects were throwing explosive devices from the vehicle at police cars. If your interested there are livestreams from US news channels like this one here. This has been happening for about 6hrs, started with a robbery of a 7/11 then there was some shooting at the MIT in which a police officer died. The 2 suspects then carjacked somebody and that started the chase, which ended with them crashing into a police car, that was when the gunfire was exchanged in which 1 suspect died and the other fled and is currently on the run.
