Posted February 3, 201312 yr http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb354/Andyhf/FirstPromopicture_zps1ee79417.png For those of you who are wondering what's been happing with server 2 lately, I've cooked up a plan to enter a video into the upcoming PR Movie awards/ festival. Now I've gone back and finished up a lot of preproduction work that I should have had ready a week ago, namely the storyboards and script, and am ready to go for one last stab at getting this thing done on time. Now for those of you who've already ready the previous thread on this topic, the original story has seen some changes to reduce the acting roles and focus more on the squad, as well as adding in that assault scene that we attempted to film on Wednesday. So for those still curious, this is the final official summary of what we're planning to do in "The Breach": On an unnamed/named PR server, BLUFOR (American) forces are searching for weapon caches used to resupply OPFOR (Taliban) insurgents. The plot involves the fighting over a single cache in a large compound, with BLUFOR exchanging fire with OPFOR forces around the perimeter on the SOUTH WESTERN side. While this continues, a single BLUFOR squad moves in around the compound to the NORTH EASTERN side, rappels over the wall and attempts to sneak their way to the cache. However after killing a single guard, who they believe to be a noob, they are discovered and ambushed. Realising their situation, they rush towards the cache, breaching the door placing explosives on the cache. There is a pause where the squad, while under fire, debates on how long the delay was on the explosives, before, at the point of being over-run, they detonate it causing a rather large explosion. After respawning at a FIRE BASE, the BLUFOR squad moves off into the distance towards the next cache. So far there are a good eight people who've expressed interest in the project thus far, and while I try and find out when they are free, if anyone else would care to give up some free time on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, then give us a pm and we'll see how we go for numbers. February 4, 201312 yr Author OK filming tonight: We're starting the 'voiced' scenes tonight, the script being found here: The Breach Screenplay.doc These require around 6 people, two OPFOR and four BLUFOR, and while I've got a couple of confirmations from some people, there may still be place available if you're up for a little bit of acting. So if you are, give us a pm or jump on teamspeak tonight around 8:30 and we'll see what happens! Edited February 4, 201312 yr by TestUser Time to rise to the occasion
February 4, 201312 yr Is that AEST? http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u444/SirLanceABit/RyusoCO.jpg
February 4, 201312 yr Wouldn't it be easier to get people to record the lines outside the game and edit them in later... I forsee a lot of time wasted refilming an entire scene because somebody stuffs some lines up (we are men afterall and can only do one thing at a time ) http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
February 4, 201312 yr Good to go tonight Freelance! We could set teamspeak to record (have recorded once ages ago) and then you can splice the audio you need from that using Audacity (have used that for a uni assignment). http://i.imgur.com/DtNdckc.png [WC]Xavo|xXx:

I forsee a lot of time wasted refilming an entire scene because somebody stuffs some lines up (we are men afterall and can only do one thing at a time ) In theory yes, but experience has told me its hard getting the "natural feel" of a conversation if everyone's line is a separate clip of audio. Let's go, let's go overground Take your head out of the mud baby
February 4, 201312 yr How about we record the video talking, but splice better audio in later over it? Should have a brief or long talk about it just before we start http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u444/SirLanceABit/RyusoCO.jpg
February 4, 201312 yr Author Well I plan to do some dummy runs before we get into the meat of the action, so I'll record those AND those done in the field and choose which one suits the best. To be honest it'll be tricky either way. AND THAT'S 8:30 PM MEBLOURNE TIME Edited February 4, 201312 yr by TestUser Time to rise to the occasion

February 6, 201312 yr Author Yep the Engineer kit problem seems to be solved, we'll see what happens tonight. As for that, if the Monday crew can all meet up and be ready to go at 9pm AEST (Melbourne time) the we can have a good crack at the voiced scenes. See you all tonight! Time to rise to the occasion

February 6, 201312 yr ..pro tip.. don't try and spawn a kit that shouldn't be on the map (like an A10 Noddy) crashes the server http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
February 6, 201312 yr Author Here's the added content for the script, just put it in before Salty says: "OK this'll do. Throw the rope." M: Jeeze, squad 1 is already dead. You'd think Noddy would know better. RS: You'd think someone would have bought a better mike by now. M: Hey this mike was expensive! RS: What when you had dail up or something? N: hehehe M: Shut it Noob, you still bunny hop to cover. N: Hasn't failed me yet. SL: Keep it down fellas, we're nearly there. Time to rise to the occasion
February 6, 201312 yr M: Jeeze, squad 1 is already dead. You'd think Noddy would know better. Wasn't aware that you were making a documentary. Thought it was just going to be a made up story. :ill:

February 6, 201312 yr It's a locked server for the filming... I don't see it being a regular occurance.... You can have a go tomorrow night if you feel like you're missing out http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png

February 7, 201312 yr Author Horrible news everyone. My manager has turned in sick the last few days and I've had to cover for him, turning a relatively free week and weekend into a very busy one, and I'm aftraid I won't have any more time to continue filming to get it done by Sunday. As such I'm thus cancelling tonights film session, along with pretty much the entire project. Perhaps in the future I'll return to the footage I already have, I owe it to myself and all the guys who came in to help. But not for a while now. Thanks again to Noddy and Bahlye for keeping the server free and giving a tonne of technical help, Saltbush, Fizban, Kickass and Xavo for lending their time and acting talent, alongside Matty, Holzy and all the other grunts out there for joining in when you had the time. It's been a rather hectic and somewhat stressful few weeks, but most certainly it's been a great deal of fun! Time to rise to the occasion
