December 22, 201113 yr wow . . . TPG will be rubbing their hands together IF they are planning on buying iiNet . . . kinda sucks tho because if TPG did buy iiNet, node was my first other choice . . . [edit] - http://delimiter.com.au/2011/12/22/iinet-to-buy-internode/ maybe all is not panic stations yet . . . There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
December 22, 201113 yr nooooooo http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
December 22, 201113 yr Author Will be interesting to see how this will effect the BigDGaming servers as the provider Network Presents uses Cine.net.au (internode) as one of its main transit providers.
December 22, 201113 yr I use internode. I hope this does not adversely effect service. "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite." - Winston Churchill
December 22, 201113 yr i'm with iinet , hopefully this would mean more un-metered steam content servers thats one upside [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC][WC]Private http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/armouredservice.bmp http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/6780/blackmagikzwc.png "A tank is like a fat timid kid at a dance party , always too shay to get into the action and ask a girl to dance with him and always backs down after every approach" -Some Marine Capitan i forgot- Iwo Jima
December 22, 201113 yr Wasn't iinet one of the ISPs that agreed to ISP level filtering, and internode one that didn't? How will this pan out? http://i.imgur.com/DtNdckc.png [WC]Xavo|xXx:
December 22, 201113 yr Wasn't iinet one of the ISPs that agreed to ISP level filtering, and internode one that didn't? How will this pan out? iirc only the AFP one, NOT the Stephen Conjob one (one of the most vocal critics of SC's filter along with Simon Hacket & Internode) There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
December 22, 201113 yr Will mean no change for some time. Hackett and his team will still manage and run the company and it will operate as a separate entity much like westnet and a few others that iinet own. :hi:
December 22, 201113 yr ... I just hope Westnet et al continue to provide the real customer service I've received so far... they leave Optus dead in the water.
December 22, 201113 yr 3FL swallowed up our Gaming SA -http://www.3fl.net.au/forums/ http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s96/SnRaCe/Banners/site_logo.png
December 22, 201113 yr 3FL is westnet is iinet points to remember iinet is not optus , is not telstra , is not tpg :hi:
December 22, 201113 yr iinet started as a punk in Perth, Over the ten years that I've signed with them intermitedly they have provided more support than their clauses require even given the odd bonus/cut fees when there has been a prob on their side THEY DID sign to the FKilter tho
December 22, 201113 yr i'm with iinet , hopefully this would mean more un-metered steam content servers thats one upside +1. http://sigs.enjin.com/sig-bf3/392ecc0d19627ed4.png
December 23, 201113 yr THEY DID sign to the FKilter tho which one? I know they tried to get in on Conjobs filter to see what it actually was going to do (because you know, Conjob wasn't telling anyone) but were knocked back. They support the AFP one because it is based in LAW, not just some arbitrary 'questionable material' list decided by a 3rd party with no oversight... There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
December 23, 201113 yr thats the one i was complaining about right, then have no fear because like i said, Conjob knocked them back due to iiNet only wanting to be involved to show how utterly stupid it was. There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
