Hey all....

Its been some time since my last PC blew up and I now have the time to get back into the gaming scene.

I have decided to build my own PC.

Some constructive advice would be great on the below build:

CASE: Lian-Li Lancool PC-K63

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K - 3.40GHz - Quad Core - Socket LGA1155

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD5

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

RAM: G.Skill 16GB (4x 4GB) Ripjaws Memory Kit, PC3 12800 (1600MHz) DDR3

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 Super Overclock Video Card - GDDR5 1536MB 384Bit VRAM - 855 / 4100MHz

PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX-1050 1050W

MONITOR: ASUS VK278Q 27" Full HD Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor

HEADSET: Razer Megalodon

KEYBOARD: Razer Blackwidow

MOUSE: Razer Mamba

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - SP1 - 64-Bit

** I was also looking into the the ASUS P868-V Pro (motherboard) instead of the Gigabyte board ---- any thoughts?

Cheers

16gbs of ram is overkill, I went for it and I rarely use all 16gbs. Also 1050w PSU for that is way overkill, for that system you will probably want about 750w. I went gigabyte and got the UD4 motherboard, seems solid I had no issues with it and the manual covered the wiring well so I had no issues building it. I double checked your case and video card to make sure it fits and it does, I only have about an inch to spare with my 580 & HAF 932.
