As you can see, this is NOT your standard winter map pack! Many of these maps have been in development for over a year and have all of the features and details that you've come to expect from PR:BF2 maps. Another difference is that this map pack is not seasonal and they will all be integrated into the next full release of PR:BF2 or PR:Vietnam.

 

Beta Test / Stress Test

 

So why are we telling you this now if the map pack won't be released until December? Well, based on feedback from the community and development team, we will be conducting a beta test / stress test November 25-27. The Tactical Gamer (TG) and New Era Warfare (NEW) servers have graciously volunteered to host the beta test and will be running all seven maps during those three days.

They will provide details, server rules, passwords, etc. If you're not able to help with the beta test, have no fear. The fully-tested map pack will be released in December, so keep your eyes on the Project Reality forums in a few weeks.

 

Also, since I'm sure we'll get questions... This is not a patch to 0.973. Since downloading the map pack is completely optional, we are unable to change files to existing maps. Those changes will be seen when PR publishes its next full release.

Well the test servers have already been chosen, and we aren't one of them .

We will get them up once the files are available.

So the maps in this pack, are here to stay right? As in we download install play and not like the snow ones that then dont get played after xmas. Cose if so then thats just superawsomekickasssweet.

Nah was kinding, I know Ancient has supported bD community massively and he would have surely done everything in his realm of influence to make sure the bD community could run bug and beta testing cause we are so damn awesome at it

The BigD servers haven't been well populated, so I didn't see any reason for it... The servers that were selected are enough, it's only a weekend stress test, you'll live.

TG is one of the best servers to play PR properly, I wouldnt have a problem with this. Just play the stress test on TG ffs

theres a place called repulse bay on the south of hong kong island . it would make a great map for a usa invasion .
