C&C Generals Zero Hour mismatch synchro error

Recently bought two copies of Command and Conquer's First Decade pack.

Whenever my brother and I try to play a local match of Generals Zero Hour, we get a synchronisation mismatch error as soon as the match starts.

Both versions are fully patched to v1.04 and regular Generals is at 1.08 and works fine. Spent hours on google trying to find a fix but everything says to patch it.

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated

cheers

radr

Make sure firewalls etc arent blocking CnC. AFAIK synch errors are pretty common with Generals (atleast they are when I played over Hamachi) but not at the very start of games :\

We ran into the firewall first, but that is now sorted. From what i've read the synch error usually occurs around 10 mins in.

The game is being run in administrator with xp sp3 compatability mode.
