Hello everyone.

For some reason when I load the Community Training map my game can't load past the 'loading complete, verifying client data' part without crashing.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and has found a way to fix it.

 

I did install it properly with the auto install and I checked the directory just to make sure it was in the right place. I don't know why I can't load it.

Yeah was trying to make a server side only patch to fix the CTDs but that didnt work. So try this.

Try adjusting your settings, and loading it as a Local server. I know once upon a patch ago a few of the maps would crash with high Lighting settings for alot of players.

Just tried running everything on low and in a local server, still crashed on me.

Have you tried Reinstalling PR?

Might be a bit bugger but worth the try

Try deleting your documents/battlefield 2, after that retrieve your profile.

A few people are having crashing problems atm. I think its being caused by a few problematic vehicles. Ill try fixing it server side.

No joy for me. Still fails.

 

I got memory allocation error: numbers

 

At 94% on textures.

Still looks the same.

Probably needs a reset to apply the changes properly.

Interesting thing to note. I had 2 "community training" exes in my d/l folder only difference between the two was that one had an underscore between the words. Is it possible they are minutely different and running both would install it to the same directory and case a clash? Or are they the same?

The one with the underscore is the same as the one without.

 

There was a typo with a couple flag names. I realised this pretty soon after I released it so I quickly uploaded a fixed version with the underscore:ninja: . It shouldnt make you CTD.

Didnt fix it for me. Memory alloaction error again different numbers. Something about memory.dll all alocation failed for :numbers.

 

Might be some common issue...that exe that lets BF2 use more memory is there a steam variant of it around? or was that exe no longer with 1.5?

Successful this arvo - one weird experience Vapo - there are about 4 AAVs at the southern side of the bombing range building - I could not get crew kits from them - saw message that the kit was issued and at my feet as usual, but there was no kit visible, and nor was there an invisible kit (pressed G, no result). Will use this training tool. Looking forward to seeing this map in the rotation.

Will use this training tool. Looking forward to seeing this map in the rotation.

 

afaik that's just a general problem with all AAV's since release?

Dammit mine still does it. Although it didnt remove me wallpaper this time so its a partial improvement.

I can't load into the training server. It loads the map and when I hit the button to join the game it CTD's. So what is going wrong can still play PR on server 2 without any problems but the training map crashes. I have not been able to play vapos map at all online, I can load the map on it's own as me hosting the server. But on server one it just crashes????
