Side Fan on Antec 902 Case

Hey guys,

my two 5770's are running slightly hot (peak at 94c/83c in ARMA 2) and I've already cranked all fans up on the Antec 902 case. I was wondering if its possible to add an extra fan on the side case, would this help? How hard would the job be (I'm clueless).

Cheers,

It should be fairly simple to just get a fan that fits onto it. (The clips are already there right?) But I'm not sure if another fan would really help. You might need to look at water cooling or some aftermarket stuff.

I found that my old antec 900 II had some heating issues as well, my 5830 was running at 60 degrees on idle and my CPU hovered around the 50 mark

I'm pretty sure you can fit one 120mm fan in the side panel.

I imagine you screw it on with the provided screws, and plug it in to a fan plug on the motherboard

Hmmm while im not familiar with water cooling im not overly confident of mixing water with electricity. I might try another fan tonight and even take off the filters (dust gets in every other hole anyways)

You could try getting an aftermarket cooler for the GPU or CPU as an alternative.
