As stated in your ban appeals thread (I tried to link the URL of that page on your forums, but it says i'm not allowed to link URL's until i've made 5 posts on your forums) I do understand and acknowledge that ban appeals are not to be made in the forums, they're to be sent to the e-mail listed in that thread. I am not here to make a ban appeal, but to ask for help.

 

I've sent 3 or 4 e-mails to that e-mail address. The e-mail doesn't bounce back so it seems as though it is going through. I'm not sure if i'm on an ignore list because I don't get a reply from that e-mail. I'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong. Maybe i'm putting in the correct e-mail address, but possibly i'm not putting the ban appeal in the correct format, thus prompting no response from your ban appeal team? I'm not sure.

 

Again, i'm not asking for admins to appeal my ban here (although if that is what you want to do that's up to you).

 

Here is the message I sent to the ban appeal e-mail address:

 

"Hi BigD gaming.

 

In-game name: TheMillitary

Reason for ban: Spoke negatively about the BigD gaming server and the rule set.

Length of ban served: I've been banned for approximately 1 year.

Proof of innocence:None, did the crime doing the time.

Reason for ban appeal:

I've been banned from the BigD gaming server for about 1 year now, I've never violated any in-game rules, as I respect them whether or not I disagree with them. I've met some pretty top notch blokes on your server and some pretty nasty ones too. I've told off BigD admins when I believed that they stepped out of line, whether they actually did was and is up to your admins at that time. My history on the BigD gaming server is one of disappointment and trouble, although (to know knowledge) I've never violated any in-game rules, I have had my run-in's with some admins and some players that frequent your server. This is my 3rd or 4th e-mail to you at BigD regarding this ban, i'm not sure if I put in the wrong e-mail address in the previous attempts or I've been put on an ignore list but i'm asking for my ban to be reviewed. I did the crime and (I believe) that I've done significant time. In all honesty the reasons of my ban appeal are to play with friends (who frequent your server), to play on a server with people from my country and to play with a decent ping. I want to apologize for disrupting your server and speaking poorly of it. Regardless of what I think it's not my place to critizise. Treat others as you wish to be treated was a value that I didn't exercise when playing on you server, again, I am sorry. I've learnt my lesson the hard way and am hoping you will reconsider my relationship with your server, your admins and you public player base, thanks for taking the time.

I do understand that threads of a ban appeal nature do get deleted without explanation as you have stated in your ban appeals thread. I would like to kindly ask if an admin could review my problem and help me. I don't know how else to go about my ban appeal as I do not get any responses from the e-mail address. I just sent in another one about 20 minutes prior to making this thread.

I have also spoken with both Coeman and Cubcadet about your posts at PRM and the payback bans you have given to Australian players in your time as an Admin on the Hardcore server....

The Head Admins here have seen your bans appeals and aside from the fact that we really cannot forgive or forget the things you have tried/threatened us with or the personal insults and slagging off at our servers on your forums... we are puzzled as to why you think for a moment that we should let you back ?.

Hence the no reply......

If you want to submit a new appeal, thats up to you but it better be a good one m8.

 

I'm all for accepting an apology and moving on, but its not just up to me, I'm just A Head Admin, not THE Head Admin.

If you appeal and it makes it though the HA's to the other admins to vote on, then you may have a chance.

TBH he should be given server access again if he apologizes for absolutely everything, unbans everybody who was banned on H, and admits that comments like the one about revoking the server liscence where completely fraudulent.

I made the error of speaking harshly of your server and your rules, regardless of what I think of them, it's not my place to speak negatively of them, especially in a public forum, again, i'm sorry for that.

 

I've only banned 1 Australian from our server. I banned PinkFloyd. I banned him because I know that he is a problem player, a jerk and someone who wasn't welcome. Not to mention the fact that he was breaking our asset claiming rule, he took an already claimed Bradley on silent eagle.. I didn't ban him because of that (which should of been the reason), but I didn't. I banned him because I know what type of player he is, I know what type of person he is. I know the type of foul mouth he brings with him. I've only banned 1 person, and it wasn't a retaliatory ban, it was a character based ban. Anyway, long story short. I was a bit grumpy that day, it's not in my nature to mean or unfair so I unbanned him 2 days later, I am a fan of second chances, so he is welcome on our server until he breaks a server rule.

 

I called you a twat? Twat isn't a word I often use. In fact, I very very rarely use that word. I don't remember calling you a twat, in fact I only remember 1 conversation I had with you. I invited you to my squad on Ghost Train and we had a chat. You were one of the admins that I liked. I honestly don't remember calling you a twat, but i'll take your word for it and I guess the only thing I can do in apologize, so i'm sorry for my foul language.

 

For the record, I never asked Coeman or Cubcabet to intervene and I definitely never asked them to ask you to un ban me. In fact, after I learned that they did so, I asked them to not do it again. I don't want anyone else getting involved here. I don't even know why CubCadet got involved, he has no Authority on that matter. If you don't believe me you can ask them, I specifically told them not to get involved with you or any of my affairs.

 

Personal threats? I can assure you I've never made a personal threat against any of you. It's MOST definitely not in my nature to threaten to harm anyone. Especially over the internet. I'm 100% sure I've never made any threats to harm you or any other of your admins. I would ask if you could review that as I know that I wouldn't ever say anything along those lines.

 

Getting your server license revoked:

Let me help you understand where I was coming from when I said that.

 

I've been banned off your server 3 times (including this ban). The first ban was rubbish. I was playing with one of my American friends on your server, this was about 2 years ago. I remember it very clearly. A discussion was taking place in the server chat and one of your admins said something very offensive about Americans. My friend, being an African-American was rather offended. He (very politely might I add) stated that he was African-American and found what they had said offensive. Then another one of your admins butted in said "F**K off u ni**er* and banned him. I, then contested the ban and found myself banned. I then had, had it with the BigD server. That is when I stumbled upon the Hardcore server. Anyhow, about 6 months later I come back, finding myself not banned. The map was Ghost train, I was on the Chinese team leading a squad. Your server back then had a no base rape rule (which I knew). So, my squad was flanking the British team around the rail road (well out of the British main base). Anyway, we were ambushed, pinkfloyd happened to be one of the people we killed. He then lied to an admin and said we were base raping. I was kicked off the server without warning for base rape. I return and say I wasn't base raping. I was rudely told to shut up. Then Pinkfloyd said lol as did the admin. I contested and said pinkfloyd lied and to check the battlerecorder. Pinkfloyd then said "I would lie to get you banned u ****". The admin loled at that and then banned me. I have had nothing but trouble from your admins on your server, which has brought me to the conclusion that your server isn't worth the time, which, in turn lead to my "trash-talking" of your server on the PR forums.

 

I suppose that's a little history of my time on your server. Hopefully you can understand why I was very upset and frustrated. Like I said though, I've met some good blokes and some very nasty ones, Pinkfloyd and some of your admins are those nasty ones. But there are also plenty of people who are just a pleasure to be around and play amongst.

 

I really don't know what else to say. You're advising me to make a good ban appeal. The only thing I can do is try and explain to you why I have had such contempt for this server. If you want real honesty, I don't think I should have been banned in the first place. That led into a series of events which ended up being even worse for me. I don't know what to say to get un banned, but hopefully you do understand my situation. Any mistakes that I have made I really AM trying to put in an effort to rectify, but those situations which I was treated unfairly have just left a foul taste. But I really do want to be able to get back onto your server and play with the people I used to play with. Ultimately, the decision is yours.

 

I suppose what I'd like is to be able to play with the good, nice, kind and respectful players that frequent your server. If un-banned I promise not to break any rules and as long as I get along with everyone I don't see why I would have a bad view of your clan and your server.

 

I can't stress how much I hope you understand why I've been so frustrated and annoyed with some of your admins.

 

For the times where I have wronged you or other innocent people, I do apologize. I'm the type of person who can admit my faults and sincerely apologize for them. But, I can't apologize for when I and my American friend were wronged, which subsequently lead to this cluster of horrible feelings and terrible words that were traded.

 

So, whether or not I get un banned, I do apologize for when I wrongfully said bad things against you and your clan as a whole. But to those people who wronged me I can't apologize to.

Is one train of thought... However I'd counter with the suggestion that on the basis he didn't rate a mention in the 'what ever happened to thread' he wasn't missed - so what does he bring to the community except the expectation of more grief...

i haven't been around much lately but neither has he, but i have in the past played plenty a games with, against and alongside Pinkfloyd and i wouldn't describe him like that. Hes an okay bloke in my book.

But mate you must understand that if you are allowed to come back you will be watched under a microscope, and not by just the admins. The regulars of both the forums and the servers will be watching you too. And if you are unbanned and then re banned you will never come back, not ever!

Meh, people are given enough chances. How many times must you tell someone to "stop doing that" before they get the message? If they aren't getting the message by the time they've been warned/warned/kicked/kicked, then they are obviously making a concious decision to not play by the rules.

 

If a ban is permanent, it should stay permanent. Either change the ban system to ban for 1 month / 2 months / 6 months / perma, or leave the perma bans as permanent IMO.

 

As far as I'm aware, there's only ever been 2 x %100 intentional "you dun messed up" permanent bans from the community that I know of - that is server + forums. Others have experianced bans and have no appealed them, or have been banned from the forums. Those I don't count.

 

If they've made it on to a list with only 2 people, then balls to them I say. You dug your grave, now go cement yourself inside it.

There are 3 people on THAT list, the 3rd is a guy that got rather nasty and personal then said he was going to sue Uncle Darth because we banned him.... iirc we are still waiting for the letter from his lawyers, this was a good 3 years ago .

 

And yes a perma ban is a last resort for us, and generally means you are permanently banned.
