Posted June 29, 201014 yr Hey, Im posting from Christchurch NZ. For the last fortnight I have been trying to connect to server 2, to no success. When I first update list in the PR server browser, server 2 shows. I connect, load and when Im at the point of choosing squad etc I get 'there is a problem with your connection' and fail back to PR server browser then 'connection with server lost' displays. Now when I refresh, server 2 is no longer in the list. If I manualy join IP i get 'Failed to connect check network connections', but I can join other servers in the US no problem provided my ping in well below 300. Im on telecom xtra, other online games have no problem connecting.I played PR online 6 months ago no problem. ...bit F'd off as I need my PR fix with low pings and Im sick of septic tanks saying "oh god my medic sounds like the flight of the concords, thats soooo cool" Thing is, medic is only medic cause his ping is so cr@p aye. Anyone else got this problem? Connection issue I mean. Kiwi

June 29, 201014 yr Author are you on bigtime plan? Yip, no limit. Also, I was mistaken; im with Telstra Clear, not dirty XTRA.
June 29, 201014 yr Have you perhaps changed your modem/router recently? If you have/haven't, what is the brand? http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan). QFT: if you dont get pissed off when you lose you dont care enough
June 29, 201014 yr That is a big first hop http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
June 29, 201014 yr Author That is a big first hop Good point. I phoned telstra clear, and asked if a 40ms average time to ping the exchange was normal...apparently yes. Then they said to turn of my anitvirus and try...no change...lame
June 29, 201014 yr Well since I've been ignored I'll just take a shot in the dark to give you the answer. Your first hop is 192.168.2.1 which is characteristic of Belkin based routers (DLINK use 10.1.1.1, Billion 192.168.1.254). As many of you might be aware, Belkin routers suffer a firewall issue that regards BF2 based VOIP traffic as a UDP flood. This can be remedied by a firmware update from my knowledge, or more reliably disabling the blocking feature as described in the following posts: http://www.bigdgaming.net/showthread.php?p=129641#post129641 If I am incorrect about the router type then I apologize, but of the six people that I've offered that solution to, 5 of them have had it fix their issue. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man.
