Posted June 3, 201014 yr Taken from the topic from the official realitymod.com forum. http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr-bf2-general-discussion/81901-dying-no-more-matter.html#post1355692 Respawn times of 30 seconds are easy to get over and at times when you have stayed down for some time waiting for a possible revival you have waited your final 30 seconds and it is basiclly an insta-spawn when you click give up. I mean it isn't even an issue when you click suicide now if you cbf'd getting some transport back to main. IMO they need to increase the respawn time to 1 minute, and reset the counter after you click give up to 30-45 seconds. HBU? June 4, 201014 yr I love PR, and I'd love it more if there were some more 'realism' changes that made things like 'life' more important. However, my buddy is still playing COD4/COD6, and a 60 respawn would be just another reason not to play PR for him... It's a constant tightrope of providing enough realism, but still making it enjoyably playable for the widest possible audience. June 4, 201014 yr Hmm well I don't have much to say on this issue, since the spawning thing has changed a looooot over the years I've been playing so I sorta just roll with what the devs want these days. I feel like the new rally system is the best of both worlds, and it does work quite well. With firebases having to be so far apart and so easy to find/destroy, I don't think that the 30-45 second spawn times are too little... a good portion of your alive time is spent traversing from spawn -> desired position, so upping the spawn time by 15-20 seconds isn't going to make a huge difference. I see what you mean about suicides, and I'm not sure about other people but the only factions I really do this on is insurgent factions (Hamas, Tali or ins) where tickets don't matter. Of course if I get myself stuck in the middle of nowhere in a hotzone I'll probably do a suicide charge on a position to die and spawn back at main, but unless it's a 4km map I see most people will suck it up and walk to the area where they'll meet up with their squad. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. June 5, 201014 yr I know in the past I used to just hit 'give-up' as soon as possible because most often it was more fun in general to make my way back to my position than it is just lying there waiting for a medic to get to you. Especially if I didnt have a medic in my squad, as it seems pretty rare for non-squad medics to get you up (maybe there should be a better way of getting thier attention and getting them to find your body) Now I do try and be a bit more patient, wait for the medic to get his chance to fulfill his role and get some points and use out of his kit. I personally cant stand being medic, I cant hit **** with iron sights, and I end up just running with my squad healing and resing (which I know is the role, but i find it dull, and im much more usefull as a rifleman or something). 30 could be a little light for a respawn time.. but I also cant handle the long spawns for falling of a hill or killing a civi. Maybe a 1 or 2 minute constant timer would work.. where everyone spawns at once whenever the next timer comes up.. would be kind of like getting reinforcements, rather than trickles of individual soldiers

But i can see myself raging if its the fourth time in a row that i get the 2 min timer... DON'T YOU CLUCK WITH ME, BUDDY! ---------------------- After that night I started peeing out the window to avoid going down the hallway when it was dark.

I can hit things from further away then with a scoped version!! To me it seems there way more accuracy- When im zoomed in once i fire the screen bounces around and thats it!!
