Hi

This particular plant has been in my family for a good 30 years.

It was kept in a small clay pot until last year and never grew much over 50cm (until now).

It is extremely hardy and can survive on SFA water and in scorching heat

or bitter cold. We always thought it was some sort of African thing

but I guess it may be Australian desert plant of some sort ?

Can anyone identify it ? I want to get a couple more.

The leaves look like razer grass or Kunai grass, but I've never seen them with a trunk!

Are the leaves sharp at all?

Yeah they are sharp & they will cut you if you aren't careful.

Definitely has a trunk - sort of like a tuber of some sort.
