My Thoughts:

 

To be honest if Israel gets away with this kinda thing ill be pissed off.

 

You cant steal someones land and then ask them to stop shooting at you.

 

You cant starve a population of a nation and expect them to be peaceful.

 

You cant kill people that go to feed the starving.

Although the Israelis claimed they were being bashed and stabbed by the protesters. What is a justifiable reaction to that?

My sentiments exactly, this infuriates me. Likewise with Israel using the identities of Australians amongst others, to assassinate an Hamas leader with nothing more than a slap on the wrist as a repercussion.

 

I find it amusing though as to what exactly those commandos were expecting when they landed on that ship.... a red carpet and a welcoming parade? I hope the rest of the world gets off their arse and starts to put some pressure on them as a result of this.

While I agree with your thoughts to a degree, just remember that you are reading a media article. Generally hyped a bit. The situation may not really be as described in the article.

 

I asked one of my clannies who has been living and working in South Korea for the last couple of years about the current situation over there.

 

As he put it, the general population really does not give a ****. As it was put to him by some of the locals, China has an influence over North Korea, US has an influence over the South. A conflict there is really not going to benefit anyone.

If you believe the media stories that are being published though, Word War 3 is imminent.

Really? Imperialism/Colonialism did it for centuries. I believe it has to do with how big the stick you're waving is, and the type of people you're taking it from. Was the Australian land we live on gifted by the native inhabitants [i'm actually curious, never paid much attention in the past]?

Refer to above. They were given fair warning that they would be stopped trying to enter.

I suppose one difference to your examples psyrus is that it is still an illegal occupation. Many palastiniens still have the deeds to their houses/land that were flattened and now occupied.

As for the "siege" its more along the lines of we've stolen your land, but you can have this little area to live in but we're going to restrict your access to aid indefinitely.
