Posted May 25, 201014 yr Anyway as the title states when i try to play PR with a 2nd monitor plugged in my ground dissapears and all I get is a faint image of it. Some have suggested deleting the gfx cache... this works about 1 out of 10 times IF I'm lucky. I have found one way of getting it to work but its annoying because i need to do it every time i start the game. This includes dissabling the 2nd monitor starting the game, loading in then re-enabling the 2nd screen. I'm using a 5850 on the latest drivers (10.4) win7 64bit 1st monitor 1920x1200@60hz, 2nd 1280x1024@60 additional hardware specs can be provided if needed if anyone has any ideas on how i can fix this as its rly annoying it would be greatly appreciated
May 25, 201014 yr Have you tried running the same resolution on both monitors? http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/4912/chargerd.gif Superbowl this year boys
May 25, 201014 yr Afaik, you can solve this by turning off anti aliasing, however that would not be an acceptable fix for me, because I paid good money for high end hardware and I'm not going to sit here without AA http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan). QFT: if you dont get pissed off when you lose you dont care enough
May 25, 201014 yr Author Have you tried running the same resolution on both monitors? is possible but i dont think 1920x1200 would be too good on a 17" monitor Afaik, you can solve this by turning off anti aliasing, however that would not be an acceptable fix for me, because I paid good money for high end hardware and I'm not going to sit here without AA yeh i cant handle games without AA anymore but i might give it a go at some point
May 25, 201014 yr Why dont you just use the higher res monitor? "Eight glorious sides and eight stunning angles!"
May 25, 201014 yr Why dont you just use the higher res monitor? I'm pretty sure he is. I have the same problem, have had to get used to no AA. Infact I have the exact same set up you posted. Havn't tried the whole disabling monitor thing, never thought of that. http://www.deadlycombinationclan.com/anaraith/sig/rotate.php FEAR ME I AM PITA BREAD
May 25, 201014 yr Oh sorry i read i try to play PR with on the 2nd monitor Instead of i try to play PR with a 2nd monitor plugged in Yeah just didnt read properly haha  "Eight glorious sides and eight stunning angles!"
May 25, 201014 yr Author anaraith it works but it gets annoying having to disable the screen, start the game, load the map then go re-enable the screen.... but it does work(for me) fallen: i have it set to extended, clone just forces my 24" to 1280x1024 :shudder: (and would just show what i have on the main screen, and just isnt what i want)
May 25, 201014 yr Are you using Ultramon or any similar Dual monitor program ?. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
May 27, 201014 yr Hey, I had something like that ... all the ground looking blueish like water. I set the game resolution to something else 800x600 I think jumped in game exited game reset my resolution back to the highest level and went back in game. The changing resolution forces a re-optimisation of shaders, which fixed the problem Hope this fixes it for you. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I don't procrastinate. I just like to do things later.
