Posted April 18, 201015 yr I've been somewhat frustrated by the punishing of TK's from mark mines, grenade traps and IED's recently which leads me to ask, what rules are in place to protect the majority of people who want to place all of the above? Given the recent influx of players/tards (which I beleive a majority are from overseas) is there a rule that could get someone kicked/banned for punishing the obvious accidentaly TK's?
April 18, 201015 yr awwwwwwwwwwwwwww snowie !!!! what to do what to do eh.... the problem i see is how can you enforce the rules to someone that only comes on the server to either cause crap.. or 2. once a week from the USA its a hrd topic,. you keep getting kicked from this problem i take it ? admins keep a close watch man so if it happens once.. i can nearly assure you it wont happen twice. April 18, 201015 yr I don't think it's possible. There is nothing much you can do about people not looking at their caps-lock map or seeing obvious traps and mines and then punishing for their own stupidity. It is perhaps a psychological measure of their embarrassment that they instantaneously punish someone else to take the spotlight of ridicule away from themselves. People punish more for mine and grenade trap TKs, from my observation. I don't think there is much to be done about it. Mines and traps are very handy tools but the flip side is the friendly-fire aspect... Anyways... we all screw up you just haven't lived until you've died from running over your own mine or triggering your own grenade trap... Ever used explosives to accidentally destroy your own cache ?... man, that one hurts... and as for punishing yourself for TK's or stupidity, there is always Alt-F4... been there done that. "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite." - Winston Churchill
April 18, 201015 yr Try blowing up your whole squad and cache with a IED that really hurts especially the ears when they scream through VOIP ---- http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/4300/usarmyltgf2.gif http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon.jpghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmp
April 18, 201015 yr It really gives me the poops when you tell your team that you have placed mines on the roads so look out, you tell them plenty of times and yet they still run them over while singlecrewing a technical and punish you. I've stepped on plenty of friendly nade traps, usually of fallujah or Rameil due to them putting the traps about 10 metres from the cache, if the enemy is that close to the cache in the first place than maybe you should adopt a new tactic. April 18, 201015 yr should make it a PR archiviement as a player who didn't look at thier map for skull and crossbones , always punish others for your own shortcomings Sorry Antartic , this stuff is too good to hide [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC][WC]Private http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/armouredservice.bmp http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/6780/blackmagikzwc.png "A tank is like a fat timid kid at a dance party , always too shay to get into the action and ask a girl to dance with him and always backs down after every approach" -Some Marine Capitan i forgot- Iwo Jima
April 18, 201015 yr I know what you mean, its not worth having them in the game because no one wants to use them when tards just punish ALL the time. Everytime i've used a nade trap people run over it because they join the game late and it doesn't show up ( Would Be Nice If It Could Be Fixed ). As For overseas people punishing well they need to learn the rules because they have no respect, waste assets , abusive language and don't give a hoot about teamwork. Howerver in saying that they do help populate the server ( For What Its Worth ..... ) and you can come across the odd one that will be really good. However what i've seen lately is alot of the Aus / NZ players seem to stick together and just because someone doesn't have ping less than 100 we seem to single them out, therfore how are they meant to learn how we play ? http://www.users.on.net/~beljas/sigs/buzzard.png
April 18, 201015 yr well when jumping on to foriegn server , it is commen sense to look at the server rules being boardcasted. No matter how retarded they seem , if you don't wanna follow them , then you should'nt be on it. American ones seem to be a prime example , over there squad names means ownership of asset. i have yet to play on a Uk server , but however PING is a big issue. April 18, 201015 yr If you are certain that you have been teamkilled on purpose, punish, or tell an admin. If it was accidental or you dont know, forgive and sort it out later with an admin if necessary. I have seen people in jets and helos that have teamkilled by accident and been kicked by punishers. Punishing just because your angry is not the right thing, and can cost the team the game. "Eight glorious sides and eight stunning angles!"
April 18, 201015 yr If you are certain that you have been teamkilled on purpose, punish, or tell an admin. If it was accidental or you dont know, forgive and sort it out later with an admin if necessary. I must have missed that... You [not anyone in particular] can feel hard done by as much you want at someone punishing you, but at the end of the day it is the teamkilled player's prerogative to punish or not. It is a mechanism left in by the admins, conceivably on purpose (<TKPunishEnabled>true</TKPunishEnabled>), and whether it gels with your personal code of conduct does not mean that the guy who punishes you is 'wrong' for doing so, unless of course it is a forced TK which would get him banned anyway. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. April 18, 201015 yr Is there a way, after say X times punished TK's, to initiate a kick vote against the player via the server, but players still not able to initiate one themselves? I hope that makes sense. http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/43/gossyf15.png Getting Airborne since 2009
April 18, 201015 yr Simple thing would be to remove it, problem is means idiots get away with things, fixes people sulking about their own mistakes, even if its not marked you dont look you lose too bad soo sad. Could they modify it so you cant punish off those types of deaths, hell if the chopper pilot accidently kills 3 people on a hot drop the chopper tk punishes to the ground lol http://matt.itsthemadhouse.com/na/sigs/na-sig-gruanch5.png http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bulletmagnet.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/gren.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/ocrs.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
April 18, 201015 yr I must have missed that... I didnt say that was an actual rule. But im pretty sure the developers for Bf2 designed the punish/forgive system to be like i said, so that griefers can be easily removed without physical admins, and at the same time accidental teamkillers (no ones perfect) can still remain on the server as they should. April 18, 201015 yr Is there a way, after say X times punished TK's, to initiate a kick vote against the player via the server, but players still not able to initiate one themselves? I hope that makes sense. That would still cause the vote bug where it continuously causes a kick vote after another. http://www.bigd.com.au/_bigdfiles/sigs/mh-sig-2016-11.png
April 18, 201015 yr No madhouse... what your meant to say is... the Bf2 engine won't allow such a practice.. [WC] Tpr.Chrisso06 http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/armouredservice.bmp "My other ride is an ASLAV" http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/7264/newtanksig.jpg
