Hey guys,

 

I am looking at a new tattoo before i enlist into the army, i am asking for anyone with a little PS knowledge to assist me in designing something nice !

 

3 things i want in it are,

 

Aust Coat of arms (Grey scale)

Australian Army Rising Sun (Not sure colour or not)

with Southern Cross in the back round of it all...

 

and its to go on my left side chest so... that would give ya an indication to sizing and such.

 

I dont want stupid replies, if your willing to help and design sumthin that will mean heaps to me, silly replies need not be added.

just a thought maybe theres just abit too much going on? even tho i have no experience with tattoo's and design aspect of things thats just my thought from reading what you want in it.. but im keen to see what people can come up with :hi:

 

also if you know where your going to get the tattoo done.. go present your idea to them and ask if they can sketch some ideas up over the coming weeks.

Wait until your in and then you can get your regiments badge. Or better yet, go with a bunch of mates while at your IET's and get the same thing.

 

Either way, just wait. You will have more knowladge about it after you have gained a little experience. Plus, the DFR hates tattos, and they will think you're a bit of a nufty if you go in with a ADF memorial on your chest.

Joining the Army with the rising sun tattooed on your body is going to make you look like a serious try hard.

 

How about don't get tats at all? I mean when your in your 70's and your all wrinkly you are definitely not going to be wanting them. What if you meet the girl of your dreams (Good luck with that) and she doesn't like Tats ?

mate id wait till you get to your unit tbh, but also depends on when you start training, as tats take awhile to get fully healed, also think were to place them, iirc it has to be somewhere were it wont show when in uniform. but check with your recruiters.

Yea its probably a good idea to just wait a bit... I mean what if (for whatever reason) you hate the army once you're in? Then you have a reminder of the thing you hated on your chest forever!

Not trying to be a kill joy but I reckon there's a mega tattoo fad going on and I think a lot of people will be having regrets in 20 years time!

hence why i said Chest/peck...... and as for being a little to much..... i just got a mate to draw up something and it looks fantastic..... i wasnt asking for councoling just a few drafts of your designs, WOW !! i have a few already so i know the healing side of things, hence why i have 3 months !

Alright bro, something i worked up in a few minutes, not a generalised representation of what it will look like, but give me your thoughts on it.

2/14 CAV is just there for a placeholder if you decide to put your regiment there.
