After seeing a bit of interest from some of the community, and talking to someone else. I was wondering who would like to play PRSP in an organised (hopefully) admined environment?

Also what day/s would you be able to attend (if you could post that up as well)

I'll make another thread if enough interest is created (15 or so people I think)

We'd most likely have all the people on one team, vs the bots on another. But that can be discussed later.

Cheers

Bots are not fun..they won't get indignant and rage quit when we team stack against them or use tardish tactics imo. Playing PR is on par with the Olympics - it's only fun when you win... and who are we going taunt over global when we nail their asses to the wall?

But if it does go ahead I bags being in the leet squad.

(it's OK I'm done now :) )

No.

After playing a round of Kashan on PRSP and watching a bot get to the apache first then solo hydra run with it, its simply not worth it when we could have a huge bD community night again like the ones a few months back.

They simply don't have a concept of teamwork plus they have Tungustas :p

we can have Bots on one team and Human players on the other. plus dtacs Assets spawn like every 5 mins

its better then normal training and a good way to teach noobs. With experienced players versing bots would be boring.

so i'm up for it , if everybody else is.

IT could be like, a community training night, teaching players to use certain assets/kits...

DON'T YOU CLUCK WITH ME, BUDDY!

After that night I started peeing out the window to avoid going down the hallway when it was dark.

In real games you're not going to find an apache being soloed and tanks being soloed as well, so no its not good training for noobs.

Plus the people who come to this community night are going to all be experienced bar 2 or 3. And the whole server isn't going to be training them.

If anything this is just going to be a novelty, depending on what map it is of course..

If it's for fun, I'm all for it but if we're going to waste our efforts trying to train people, I'd say no to the community night.

I think it'll work if it's going to be a novelty as Dtac puts it - I've always wanted to take part in an epic armour battle (assuming all the bots are going in one general direction towards a logical point)

On the topic of shiny auscam...

the sound they made while bush walking made it seem like I was doing mean things to little furry animals inside my pants :p

this. It would be fun for a while I guess, but in the long run, a PRMP night may be better setup. :guitar:

yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. Its exactly like knowing about the stuff you dont know about, that way you know theres stuff you dont know so when you know what you dont know you can say "ah i knew that!"[/quote']

only the bots single crew it , we just tell the noobs to fully crew it. Plus its a good way to show that only vehicles can be effective when fully crewed

Co-op games are great fun! even if there's one a few human players Vs 32 bots. Survival FTW :D

I'd love a PRSP community night.

Unfortunately depending on the map its not going to be as survival as you think, especially with the teams being pretty even considering the amount of people that are going to sign up for this. Its my assumption 32 will come, mainly out of boredom of nothing better to do.

I take back what I said, people should practice on PRSP, because its better than nothing, shooting a tank is better than NOT shooting one. However multiplayer is a better way to train so long as you have somebody right behind you telling you what to do and what not to do.

When I spawned in they were the first to get to the assets, plus when you ask for a pickup they don't stop.

Plus as infantry we're not going to be able to stop to take the assets off them.

My comment, for what its worth,

Run the 3 maps for the night

Outlaw and Helmand with real people on one side and the bots cranked up to super elite level on the other. Human side everyone in a squad and a commander to direct.

Then on the tank map, balance out the sides, human and bot and duke it out to finsh off the night

(or turn the bots off if you like:D)

Make sure battle recorder is on and we get lots of video of the brave and stupid ...

I don't procrastinate. I just like to do things later.

Actually that could be fun, with infantry they can't really do anything and I hear the new Helmand is really awesome :)

Wasn't really thinking of a training night, more of what Shady and Shaggie are thinking. Mainly Humans vs fairly hard bots. But what Shaggie said about the Tank battles sounds like a good idea IMO.

I'll give it a couple more days for the poll and then we'll see.

Just played on Fallujah as an insurgent then and I must say its dam fun :D

Its all spammy but running around like a madman with an AK spraying is really awesome, PRSP on insurgency is kind of like vanilla, only better :p

It was a bit short notice remember that vapoman.

plus it was very close to new years and christmas

Well. We have 16 people interested in having one, so I guess that's enough... I'll leave this for a couple more days then we'll decide a date. But we'll do that in another thread with a poll.

Couple of days later, so I guess now this can be closed.

I'll make a thread about dates now. Thanks for replying and showing your interest.
