Completely off-topic, but how about a sticky thread called 'After Action Reports' where all these kind of threads can be collated? I had an awesome round on Jabal the other night but didn't consider it new thread worthy.

I remember a couple of weeks ago a bunch of the regulars were playing on server one, when it crashed and crashed hard.

so after some deliberation and paying out of server two, which at the time was an insurgency server, we decided to crash somebody else's party. So everyone on mumble joined some thai server and we all stacked the teams and proceeded to open a can of whoop**se onto any and all people nearby, via our general unbalanced and nasty teamplay, and a fun but short-lived bayonet charge.

All in all, bloody good fun, and could be considered making a regular thing, in my books...

I've played 3 sessions since the birth of my child and I can say that all 3, even though lowly populated on some, have all been great. Each squad I've joined, all made up of new/non-recognisable/forum members have been great.

 

I will start making note of the names, since the Commendation system seems to have quietened down. Keep up the good work.

And the ping would be massive... But the thai zenyai or whatever it was called that we were on didnt kick us for teamstacking or my ping of 350

BF2 hitreg optimization is set to 'hundy ping' so actually you have the advantage.

lol How is the hitreg any way now since the pach is it better or worse I havent had a chance to play since I 'v got exams.

I played it that nite was fun Count me in if you want to do it again maybe we can plan it against a server like tactical gamer for example

i'd like to apologize for my TK with the HAT tonight on Kashan around 8:30, i accidentally shot a bradley which was RIGHT next to enemy armor assets, BMP's and T72s, it had the same outline as a T72 on its side on the hill, killing 3 friendly players, a big DERP moment.. i feel terrible about it.

 

not sure who it was, but I'm really sorry for it, it won't happen again.

Not as awesome as the time i shot AA at an enemy Apache and it killed a friendly Havoc

Great round on Qwai and Kashan this arvo, both led to a capout.

Had the best play on Barracuda just then,

 

So i am flying CAS...i noticed i was getting a lock from a certain area so i begin to sus it out... finally noticing it and detroying it.. not before him getting one round off on me and disabling my CAS.. so i Bail and Parachute down to the beach... to my surprise no one came after to check it out.. so i begin to try getting up the cliff whilst half bleeding out,

 

i get to the top.. and notice a fire base and a recently destroyed AA and also notice 3 guys hanging around there firebase crates.. so i jump on my guts and begin crawling up to it hoping to grab a kit at any chance.. not to long into my stealth mission i am noticed and these 3 chinamen just stood there and mocked me... they laughed at me, called me names like "fly boy" saying things like... "where your friends now hey punk" you feel lucky ? all in crazy barely understandable english. whilst just standing there looking at me i was able to grab a kit after a recently new chinamen had dropped after him spawning, the first kit i grabbed had a set of chop sticks and a WOK so..im pretty sure that was there Cooks kit, but the next kit was a winner !

 

I instantly grab out my grenades and begin lobbing them at the people who were bullying me not 3 seconds ago..... one guy is still coming at me with a knife while the others decide its time to start shooting this recently armed crazed pilot. To my luck the crazy chinese knifer got caught in his own cross fire and dropped like a sack of spuds to the ground,

 

My grenades managed to take out a few guys but the crazed knifer guy had respawned and was back... so i decided whilst still bleeding out since jumping my CAS l to knife this dude back... i suceeded then ran desperatly for their FB to extinguish anymore heavenly chinese targets from spawning.. but as i reached for my knife to stab the comms, i was taken down my 9mm !!

 

not happy but was an epic event. one for me which i wont forget in a hurry !

My cas involved shooting the quad cannon whilst he shot me.

 

Sycho jumped in a tank on kashan, we were all amazed he could still aim. Ended up getting him 34 kills. Good times.

I'd like to nominate Killer for the Infantry Officer award.

 

Throughout the evening of the 19th he was my arch nemesis over many theaters of war including; the battle Kashan Desert, Operation Barracuda, and finally where I finally put a Jihad on him in his unprovoked attack at Operation Archer.

 

Although I did not witness how he used his experience to Squad lead using concise communication, superior tactics I felt the brunt of his awesomeness on many occasions in said battles as an opposing leader . Whilst his awesomeness may have been overshadowed by my own on the majority of occasions, I knew he was but within a whisker of usurping my superiority at any given time - so he kept me on the ball, made me question my tactics at every turn, had me in fit of depression on several occasions - he got inside my head and I had to draw on my own mojo on many occasions to revive me from my funk.

 

GG sir - and I wish you well in your career

 

 

I'm just hoping the award admins can forgive Killr for not meeting the last criteria of this award - modesty It's not his fault he's so awesome - and I personally know how hard it is to not shout 'how good am I' from the top of the dam on Jabal - I am barely able to myself at times - but I have some pills which help

I will say this Noddy, on Kashan....you might be interested to know, My squad was the ONLY squad to ever be within the Bunkers Borders, for the entire game....hence the reason we lost was no backup as there were team members in all 4 corners of the map, and my wittle squad trying to defend both south and north bunker after having awesomly captured BOTH flags in minutes (was it your squad we took down to get South bunker )

yeah we were the only inf squad until such time most the heavy assets had been removed from the game...then some others joined the fun.... Special mention to ozzrat (and I forget sorry) for being a good APC transport vehicle and took us to north villiage and your last flag for the cap out and much lazor guided missile giggles at the end....

I was commander for the first hour and a half on the MEC side, I was hoping we had won, cause i left when all my Armour was about to move into North Village, and we had just to move in and take out a squad in the Bunker Complex.

 

Nearlly had it, bugger, i should have stayed and led my team to victory!!!

 

UAV is heaps of help, it allowed my to coordinate awesome tank movements etc

 

Also I must say, commanding is getting more enjoyable now.
