I did have one, and my opinion wasn't too good I'm afraid. It had this weird lean to the right thingo even though it was brand new...

Anyway, you should just be able to select the throttle and push up or whatever and twist to the right with the rudder thing. Mine worked fine in that regard.

most joysticks now are some sort of lazer thingy and are all crappy.

I still used an old microsoft POS thing with real connectors or something, worked fine until it exploded.

i also had this joystick, it sucked.

Cyborgs use a analog resistance pot converted to a digital signal for stick positioning.

If it has a slight lean from new your screwed. You could try and hack it but unless your very tec minded youll fail and have voided your warranty.

If you can, take it back and get a different stick. Design is inherently flawed.

There is a small app that lets you adjust your axis range and rate found it before when I was trying to get mine working. Do a search its somewhere on in a post.

bolded, underlined and italiced for coolness.

thats what i sorta meant, the analog and digital thingy's , like for some pedals now we had ripped out some stuff from joysticks to add to them etc as they all just decide to be crap, except the logitech series and those high end custom indie ones.

yeah mine has a slight roll to the right. i read somewhere that you if you pull it apart and clean the trimpots out then its all good again.

yeah just make sure with the throttle that you have it centralized so that when you do 'throttle up' you move the thing when it prompts and registers properly, same with the other functions.

remember roll is side-side movement and yaw is twisting the joystick, if you mix those up your in trouble (o;

My sidewinder joysticker died the other day and I don't trust myself flying k&b, and PR isn't the same without flying :(

Was looking at this one, any feedback?

That seems pretty good, I like the part about adjustable resistance. Perhaps read a few reviews and see what the stick's software is like. I really like the Saitek software because it has given me the ability to use voip, mumble, T/Q radio commands, viewport changes and anything else I can think of on the one unit.

The one thing I don't like is the looseness of the sensitivity right in the middle. It means I have to set deadzones which means that I'm losing a % of my control.

I've got the stick only version of that setup, I'm pretty happy with it.

Few notes:

The tension is really nice, its got an adjuster, its get the same tension for the whole range, and it has no loose bit in the middle, meaning no dead-zone.

The Stick itself is really comfortable, but I think the build quality is a bit down, as the bit of plastic supporting the top buttons is loose, and moves when you click the trigger, not a problem, but noticeable.

The Rubber surrounding the base of the stick can be a bit stiff for the first few weeks of use, but loosens up nicely once its had a few miles.

If you have a PlayStation 3, it is compatible with it.

I have that exact joystick.

Served me pretty well over the years, however my throttle plays up every now and then which can be really annoying, but thats probably because its so old now (would be atleast 3-4 years, cant remember). Having the throttle is awesome, as it has rudder controls on it which means your left hand can focus on the rudder/thrust while your right is pitch/yaw,etc.

Pretty good joystick otherwise, and the adjustible tension is nice

your left hand can focus on the rudder/thrust while your right is pitch/yaw,etc.

Pitch/roll?

Yeh, you know what I meant ^__^

Still, if you have the money, Id def get a Saitek... prob worth it because it would last alot longer too
