Posted December 20, 200915 yr Ok so I figured I was dropping out trace while in game ping trace shows good pin30-50 but with random request time out here and there then sometimes 2-3 in a 10 ping block but then came a constant time out followed with, reply from I.p destination net unreachable for about a 10 ping block back to request timed out and stayed like that I have 2 different modems and have tried both today, one is a billion the other a Netcom, any ideas on what to look at to identify the cause? http://matt.itsthemadhouse.com/na/sigs/na-sig-gruanch5.png http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bulletmagnet.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/gren.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/ocrs.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
December 20, 200915 yr try running two concurrent pings, or perhaps 3. Run one to your ISP's server, 1 to GAU and one to something like bigpond. See if they all have the request timed out at the same time. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. December 21, 200915 yr I think i may be having the same issue, twice now during the game its randomly dropped the connection however only to the server (i used to get the entire internet shutting down but that hasnt happened in awhile) just acts like i get a high ping with stutter first then it says there is a problem with your connection has that for about 5-10 seconds before it says i lost eh server connection. Any ideas? My CPU may be overheating getting lag at certain points yet no ping spikes.
