I have a problem with the SP mode.

 

A) When I start the game I get a message that. It appears that MW2 did not quit properly last time it ran Do u want to run in safe mode? This is recommended.

 

B)When I do the above, then shut down restart & then try to change the settings, I get this message.

 

Direct X encounted a unrecoverable error.

Check the read me for solutions.

 

C)I can't find the read me file??

No I have not......but why am I getting this problem now, the game was running fine before?............I will try the download..thks

Press no when it asks to run in safe mode.

I have a GTX275 which is directx 10.....the download is for directx 9....I don't think I can use this??

When I press no it still starts on Low settings so I try & change then to higher settings & thats when I get the DirectX message!!!

There may be a way to manually set your settings in the MW2 files but i don't have it so I can't be sure.

well, how did you fix it old1. perhaps update your first post with the fix so whomever searches for it, can find the answer.

OLD1 i get that error after a previous Crash, however my SP works without hinder whereas the MP will crash on map load if i am the HOST as my Upload sucks... its a downside of MW2.. damn infinity thinking EVERY country is upto date.

 

hopefully a patch soon will sort it for us. alternativly if anyone can help both Lupo and i, i would be more than greatful !
