yea i was playing for about 1 min then i get disconnected and this message comes up .... i just got back form a mates place all weekend ... so i dont know whats wrong

i have connected 2 times and both have come up with this

Uhhh, check for packetloss to GAU maybe?

get a program called PBsetup, and update your PB files with that

Open game like normal load in ect...

once you've finished loading the map Alt-Tab and open up process explorer ( the download link) find punkbuster B right click on it and set its priority to above normal.

Then wait about 20 seconds and set it back to normal.

Maximise your game and start playing@

Oh and make sure that any anti virus/firewalls are off.. PB may be having trouble connecting

 

And if none of that works go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 (or whatever it is for you) and delete the PB folder and reinstall using PBsetup

I used to have the same problem when I played but I can't remember it clearly I think it was something about PB K you might want to look for that. If I find it ill post it but good luck

the only way i can play is to shut down all my antivirus program,. in my case trend. i am still trying to find a solution where i dont have to do this.

1 probelm there .... cant locate were pbsetup installed too ... lol

yea i get the same problem once every blue moon i found out why mine was doing it but

 

i have a crud pc and i only have 1 gig of ram when im loading the map joining the server my hdd light gets jammed on meaning disk activity as my pc finds PR difficult to run it has to use the HDD for page file memory if i start PR with loads of back ground programs up eg virus scanners Firefox widgets etc etc it would use more of the ram needed for the game meaning i would get the error above

 

so to prevent this error from happening 1stly close down all background programs that arnt needed and when u have fully loaded the map wait for about 30 secs or until ur HDD light goes off this means ur pc has finished texturing the map and its ram would be close 2 idle

 

if u rush right into the server my pc just laggs out causing this error this is how u fix it exit bf2/PR and run this http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

 

hit reinstall/next/test/exit and BAM it will reinstall ur PB then jump back on and off you go

 

any way that's how i fix my error message of the same above hope it helps

well i dont have 1 gig of ram.... i have 4 gigs of ram ... + i only use mumble as a background program ... so looks like i have to uninstall the whole game which i will be like :blowup:

 

or reinstall punkbuster which i will be like :blowup:

Gotta delete the space in the link..

its broken up for some spam reason..

 

 

And reinstally PB takes 20 seconds..

 

All you need to do it download the PBsetup again (if you can't find it), delete the PB folder like i said earlier, Select new game go BF2 and check for updates..

Did u try what i said below? as im aware of pbsetup.exe is for manual update for punk buster pbsvc.exe is for testing reinstalling uninstalling and installing the punkbuster program on your pc so download pbsvc.exe (link below) and run it hit reinstall click next and you should of just reinstalled PB

Oh and PBsetup just installs PB in your bf2 folder.. look for PB
