Posted November 3, 200915 yr Thank you for removing the ping kick. I know it's been changed as part of the 0.874B server-side beta and is likely just as temporary. But I think it's a good opportunity to observe if the "server lag" and "sync issues" are as evident as people often claim when promoting ping limits. In my experience playing on foreign servers I've never found it unplayable, nor have I noticed any significant hit detection problems. Certainly nothing as worse than having no one to play with during our offpeak hours. I think it would be beyond tolerable for the player to continue before it has any impact on the server or game play. I care about the matter because in a lot of less popular mods/games the only good servers are overseas and it's somewhat tragic to be kicked when it's still playable. November 3, 200915 yr The main reason we generally have a Ping limit is to reduce the amount of Overseas smaktards that join the servers with the sole aim of ruining the game for the other players.. I realise that may seem harsh and isn't fair to the guys that play by the rules and just want to have a good round or two but it is the only real effective way of keep the serial /repeat pests out. And we have had some that come back 3 or 4 times with different CD-keys and/or IP's. November 3, 200915 yr Author I understand that, "griefers" are the last thing anyone wants in the server. I'm curious about how many different IPs were noticed, as range banning could be an option.

November 3, 200915 yr atm on server #2 which has no ping limit..there are only 3 people over the 210 ping limit that we usually run. It was part of the agreement of hosting/being offered the chance to host the testing that there was no ping limit for the duration of the testing. November 4, 200915 yr cool bahlye, kinda like interweb cia i like, OP the reason you don't experience lag issues is because battlefield 2 was created for people with a ping of 100 which i suspect is part of the reason we have so many issues in the first place
