Posted October 12, 200915 yr Grabbed this screeny from a round a few nights ago. I don't know if this has gotten worse since the last patch, but it is pretty bad. Being on a ridgeline profiles you, but this is out of control. All those little black dots floating above the hill were troopers. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5920/screen030e.jpg [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
October 12, 200915 yr BF2 engine, if you used your binos on that image the actual ridgeline would have rendered. Could be your draw distance too
October 12, 200915 yr 1024x4 (17km2)[Kashan, Quinling] maps have massive issues with terrain warping. Smaller maps have the same issue, but on a much smaller scale. http://www.bigd.com.au/_bigdfiles/sigs/mh-sig-2016-11.png

October 12, 200915 yr Even though you can see the enemies it doesn't really help you that much as the hill is still there and it will block any incoming projectiles. So while you can see them, killing them is another matter entirely.

October 12, 200915 yr It is also known not to silhouette yourself against the sky, so not a good idea for Seccos to take thier section/squad on a ridgeline when possible
October 13, 200915 yr eh, you are still hard to kill, and if there is enough of you, the tank/sniper has to be zoomed in to see who is actually killable easy way to annoy a whole bunch of people with lazer designators
October 13, 200915 yr It's just one of the parameters of the game that these things are visible. You have to adapt - as the "fool on the hill" or as the muppet with the marksman rifle (or whatever) trying to kill them... we have to learn to adapt to the parameters within which our virtual battles are fought and not dissimilar to real battles and tactical engagements (perhaps) - learn and adapt, or die there may even be subtle ways to use this against an enemy when you are on the hill - distracting them from the squad/asset which is seeking to enfilade them... If only that degree of inter-squad coordination would work here... http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/sam-and-max-episode-1/silhouette.jpg Edited October 13, 200915 yr by mandatory05 "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite." - Winston Churchill
