Posted September 26, 200915 yr Ok, so let me preface by saying I hate Macs - but lets not even go there. An Army buddy asked me the other day if I could recommend some good FPS's - I of course started with PR, but then he mentioned he was using a Mac. See I would have lent him my entire FPS collection on a PC, but Mac makes it a little difficult. Do any of you know/have any of you had success with playing BF2 on a BootCamped Mac? And even if that is possible, could you play PR as well? I'm keen to bring more meat in front of my sights, but I don;t want to crush his hopes and dreams [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 26, 200915 yr Ask Olie, I think he plays/played BF2 on a Mac. It shouldn't be a problem though, BF2 might have a Mac version like some other EA games. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 26, 200915 yr *Noddy* if you've got nothing to add to a conversation refrain from posting. Especially if you are going to insult other people. Infraction given Edited September 26, 200915 yr by Sapper28

September 26, 200915 yr Yep, I used to play PR on my macbook pro. Was great until about 0.75 when my laptop started to show its age and the cooling got a bit clogged from running at full speed all the time. No problems at all thats for sure! http://www.adam.com.au/otaylor/gsa-sig.jpg

Yep, granting the age of it, he should not have a problem. If he has the original mac driver cd, setting up bootcamp and windows will be a breeze. One thing I will give mac credit for, they make this quite easy. I've set up a number of Macs with bootcamp to run AutoCad and Rhino at work, usually no problem at all. http://www.clan-tea.com/sigs/2011/Toons.png[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. September 26, 200915 yr yeah , not a big fan of MACs myself , i don't like the closed architecture design MACs are based on and the targeted audience. Exactly but apprrently my earlier pic was in Noddy's words insulting other members hence an infraction. Maybe some people need to "LEARN TO BE A BIT NICER TO ADMINS" (rooters edition)

Key word - Maturity. Apologies for off topic, I think your question has been answered though . Edited September 26, 200915 yr by big_ears2501
September 26, 200915 yr True but not the grounds for an infraction, I've seen worse things get off with a post removal which is fine, but an infraction is over the top. Admins need to have consistency and a little sense of humour. Sorry base for the off topic
September 26, 200915 yr Sorry but we are not Borgs...nor are we all in constant contact with each other , so its tricky to have 100% consistency on all forum decisions.. Your post was reported by other community members ..who obviously didn't find your pic funny ..and it certainly wasn't useful. And your reply to the Infraction PM really did not help you either... :not_i: I have a very good SOH btw . Please keep any further discussion on the matter to PM's :hi: http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
September 26, 200915 yr Author Hehe my thread got people infracted. ok cheers, after he bootcamps it I'll lend him my BF discs and he can grab a cd key off OzCDKeys. Excellent. More meat for the grinder. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 28, 200915 yr I thought you could run a windows OS on the newest Macs because they use Intel processors... so you can dual boot... then you should surely be able to run BF2/PR "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite." - Winston Churchill
