add in a SSD drive, you know u need one.

they make a good MASTER , ATM they are expensive , but very fast read/write speeds. It's like having another chuck of ram ( exception is its not volatile !!!!!!!!)

Change the i7 950 cpu to a 920 and save a heap of cash. You will easily be able to overclock the 920 to the same speeds at the 950.

Change the 2xGTX260's for 1xGTX295. Same performance, roughly the same cost. 1xGTX295 is pretty much 2x260's squashed together anyway.

Grab a 1tb drive instead of the 500, they are cheaper per gb, so better value for money, plus you will easily be able to fill it overtime.

Does this include Delivery?

And what brand is that CD/DVD Drive?

What are the reviews like for this one? You won't need 1050W with that rig, 800W would suffice. Make sure to get a low-noise PSU as they can get REALLY annoying under load.

CPUs | Processor: 1 x Core i7 950 Quad Core (3.06GHz) - LGA1366, 4.8GT/s QPI, 8MB Cache

Drop to an i7 920 or even a i7 860, although the onboard memory controller apparently helps with high end graphics, so perhaps stick to the 920 since it's only a bit more expensive right now

Hard Drives - Internal: 1 x 500GB 7200rpm Serial ATA-II-300 HDD

Hard Drives - Internal: 1 x Western Digital 300GB 10,000rpm Serial ATA-II-300 HDD w. 16MB Cache (WD3000HLFS) Velociraptor

I would seriously consider rather getting a 64GB SSD + 1GB SATA2 storage drive. Much better value these days IMO, and works out just a tad more expensive. The money you save on the PSU and CPU can go to this, or you could even go 128GB Intel super X25E SSD which is like $480 but that's pushing it a little.

Video Card: 2 x EVGA GeForce GTX260+ - 896MB DDR3

448-bit, 2x DVI, HDTV - PCI-Ex16 v2.0 (576MHz, 1.99GHz)

Can you explain why you chose this specifically? Is there a review or site you based it upon?

Monitor: 1 x 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor

If you don't mind 16:9 these days, the benq G24XX range offer great value for money 24"

Operating System: 1 x Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Inc. SP1) with Windows 7 upgrade offer

Software: 1 x Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 (1 Year Subscription) - OEM (Recommended)

- The all-in-one security solution that offers a worry-free computing environment for you and your family

Software: 1 x Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (1 Year Subscription) - OEM

- The backbone of your PC’s security system, offering protection from a range of IT threats

Personally I wouldn't pay for that junk, since there's many free alternatives out there.

Warranty & Assembly: 1 x Techbuy Assembled w. 3 Years Labour, Manufacturer Warranty On Parts - RTB

How much is that costing you? You'll notice it's only a 3 year labour warranty, you end up with the standard 1 year warranty on the hardware (manufacturers warranty).

Cost is $4,023.15

its from techbuy.com.au

Owch, that's a lot to spend in one go

24" was another $200 cheaper, i dont care for ratios, so long as it looks good dont bother me.

as for the graphics card is was the option available and i talk to a few guys about it and said it was pretty good idea, rather then other options available. once agian im not after the best, just something good enough for me to do my work and play games on.

PSU: http://www.quietpcusa.com/Enermax-Revolution85-1050W-Quiet-Power-Supply-P599C0.aspx

i never end up using antivirus or spyware programs, though i dont seem to get viruses either i though for $30 ill get it for the hell of it. plus i didnt end up going with those 2, they both are in one of them anyway.

i know about the warranty, its fine by me.

Change the 2xGTX260's for 1xGTX295. Same performance, roughly the same cost. 1xGTX295 is pretty much 2x260's squashed together anyway.

Ex GST cost price on 2x 260 is still at least $100 less then a single 295, then add on GST + retail mark up... and techbuy isn't the cheapest of online sites.

Benchmarking puts the 2x 260 option on par with the 295, and even better then it in some situations. For generally $200+ less at retail prices. And that $200 could be much better spent on faster RAM or towards an SSD OS drive.

Unless he's looking to get another 295 later down the track for an SLI config, the dual 260 option is the best path to take. Frankly I'd say 2x GTX 260 will probably hold you through until the next range of cards easily.

Hell I was still running everything (DoWII / Crysis included) on a single XFX 7600GT without issues. I only recently went and grabbed an OC GTX 260, because of the upcoming MW2, and BC2. 2x GTX 260 should hold out fine for at least another 2yrs.

IMO 295 is overkill, as most top end cards tend to be.

i'm not a massive fan of gigabyte anymore. There software seemed buggy. Been awhile since I bought one tho.

oh yeah EDIT: I built a PC for a family friend last week using the 1200 and I must say all that room makes for a nice tidy installation. It is super quiet too with all fans set to low and blows the house down on high.

Only thing I found was it just needs a little more space on the side of the case behind the mobo tray for all the cabling of those fans.
