This probably should have been done before the admins set about altering their rulings over server 2 - but this should give an indication as to whether the server 2 trial will fly or fall.

 

How do you as a member of this community feel about your gaming experiences here on BigD? Do you like being able to jump on the server and do as you please, even if it is with a group of unknowns doing whatever it is they think they're doing? Or do you prefer the idea of an iron fist run server, where you're controlled on your every turn, breath and thought?

I want both.

 

I want teamwork rules that are guidelines that can be enforced if it's necessary but I want the freedom to have fun.

 

I want to be able to screw around a little as long as I'm working for the good of the team while having a laugh along the way.

 

 

You need balance and as such I think there needs to be a third option as I could not vote as it would be an inaccurate representation of my thoughts.

The Admins have not "Set about Altering rulings",Darth suggested something and now the community (which,btw does include the Admins),are discussing it.

Nothing has been decided.

 

I really don't see the need for a thread on this ...but I'll leave it open atm.

I feel it will most likely end badly though tbh.

 

And Smokey..we have that,its called server #1.

I mean it as a general thing. What conditions would you prefer to play under? Overly strict or just general.

I voted the first option.

 

Even though I don't think of it as 'Iron Clad'.

It is simply more stricter than the other servers. It is a chance to have a steady, structured game free from idiotic behaviour, whenever you wish.

 

The way I see it is you have this steady structured gameplay whenever there is a community night or this new campaign. It would be good if there was a server to accommodate that type of gameplay for the periods between these Community events.

 

Just what I think, correct me if I'm wrong.

 

EDIT - I just saw Neva's post about this being general. But I still support two different servers.

I don't have a problem with enforcing the teamwork but I do with a lot of the other rules, the trivial crap like no teabagging or having a bit of a laugh with someone you just pwned over mumble is retarded IMO.

I was referring to mumble trash talk when you can talk tother person you just killed.

i didn't see a reference to the mumble trash, unless it was in a different section.

Having a laugh = trash talk to me.

This is a flawed vote, as you haven't provided the full list of what Darth has offered the community as options to be voted for.

 

You've taken your own personal opinion, and worded the vote to try and sway it in the direction that you want it to come out.

 

What about a "Current Server 1 rules, with Teamwork and Maturity enforced" option?

What about a "Current Server 1 rules, but half of the warns and kicks" option?

What about a "Brand new server rule set, with rules that focus on infantry combat" option?

Or a "Brand new server rule set, which focuses on enforcing the "in game" issues such as teamwork, base/spawn camping and locked squads but doesn't have anything about the "out of game" issues, like Mumble or Global chat" option?

 

If you're going to make a poll that you actually expect people to take seriously, make it unbias'd and make it reflect the true question(s) at hand, not the 2 questions that are extremes, worded in a way that is so blatant that you're trying to sway the vote in the direction you want it that it's rediculous.

My Opinion of late maybe isn't so measurable, haven't played in around 6 months/. And the reasons I left are Varied to say the least! :disgust:
