As the title says. What nights do the regulars on the servers or forums jump on for a round of PR? This refers/builds off gekkos thread here and the idea of a couple of nights a week, would the community be happy with running the more stringent rules under the all-seeing-eyes. In theory you would really need at least 45-50 players a night to make this worth while, otherwise it will collapse due to lack of numbers. The biggest reason I am suggesting only a couple of nights a week is, I personally wouldn't want to babysit 64 players on a server every night of the week - and the expectations that would be held - and I suspect they wouldn't either. So I feel this would possibly create a happy medium between asking too much of the admins (in their own free time) and getting something back to help build the community.

 

Also at the bottom of the poll you will notice locked or unlocked options. This is thrown in due to a lot of suggestions of locking (and not) the server to enhance gameplay/teamwork. The idea is simple. If say 2 nights a week a server was booked for, we'll say a sort of mini community night. Would you prefer a locked server where only forum members can join or another pub server with more stringent rules? (This is purely at the discretion of the admins as iirc the server needs to be reset to do and undo server passwording. If so please feel free to alter this from the post and remove the options from the poll if you see fit.)

Before you get too excited, you should probably give the admins a chance to work with the initial idea of having server 2 as a permanent strict TEAMWORK server and see how that works out first.

 

Yes the thread was locked but as Darth said we have taken the discussion to the admin forums and are discussing the finer points there.

Server 2 will be changed to a stricter teamwork orientated server.

Current map list will stay as is till official announcement is made after Retro Weekend.

 

In mean time admins will be instructed to trial the rules / recommendations we feel will help and they maybe modified as we go.

 

Full implementation of server setup will probably commence on Monday 10th August.

I try to play at least every second night - well that's the max I can get away with right now with the new bub and all.....

Whenever I can. Toddler and overdue baby will not make playing conducive.

 

Was surprised to get a game in at 1400 on a Tuesday though, about 20 people in-game.
