Hey guys,

Has anyone forked out the $290 odd for a G19 and is it really worth it?

Before I google it, does it come with a happy ending for that price?

You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.

It had better provide sexual favours or at least make coffee if your gonna cough up that much.

No chance im getting that when iv got a G15. Maybe if they add something actually worth the upgrade

EDIT: Oh it has a colour LCD, whoop di doo

For $328.90 RRP surely it has more than this

When you're gearing up for battle, you never compromise. Not on your team, not on your weapons, and certainly not on your hardware. If you take your gameplay seriously, you want the Logitech® G19 on your side.

* Tiltable, colour GamePanel™ LCD: The (320x240) display shows unprecedented levels of information - both in- and out-of-game - including game stats, system information, VOIP communication data, video playback, image slideshows, and many other items.

* User-selectable backlit characters: Personalize the keyboard to better fit with the rest of your computer and gaming equipment, and easily locate keys - even in the dark.

* Twelve fully programmable G-keys with three macros per key: Program up to 36 single keypresses or complex macros; use the MR key to record new macros on-the-fly.

* Multi-key input: Use up to five keys at once to perform multiple complex actions.

* Game/desktop mode: Disable the Windows/Context Menu keys so they won't interrupt your game if pressed accidentally.

* Two powered Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports: Transfer data to and from peripherals - such as MP3 players and flash drives - while also charging battery-powered devices.

* Intelligent cable management: Keep mouse, headset, and other cords out of the way by routing them through channels on the underside of the keyboard.

* Instant media access: Use the convenient one-touch controls for volume and media playback.

yep 2nd Gen G15 is the one with the orange LCD that doesn't flip up.

It doesnt seem to have any features that the G15 doesnt.

Cable Channels

LCD Screen (This time its colour & higher res)

Macro Keys

Lightup Keys

Windows Key Disabler

I doubt half of the programs for G15 will support G19 for a while.

Im staying well away from this.

I run a Z-Board Merc which was about $79 from memory. It has the built-in WASD keypad on the left and works as an "office" keyboard really well too. If only it had a separate DEL key it would be perfect (the DEL key is built into the numpad at the moment).

I cannot figure out why all these so-called gaming keyboards don't have dedicated WASD keys - that's what makes a good gaming board, not 100 useless macro functions and crappy backlighting?

what do you mean by dedicated WASD keys?

i know thats forward left right and back but on high end keyboards are they arranged better?

im using a 50$ windows keyboard hurrah!

Like that. It's a hotlinked image, I'm sorry.

GruAnch seriously don't bother, G15 is great for its purpose and the G19 is just a cash grab. If you're going to be spending ~$300 for a keyboard, spend more and go for the optimus maximus keyboard :) [and when I say a little more I mean it jokingly, the thing costs over $1000 USD]

Another huge turnoff for me is that the G19 requires external power, IE it has to be plugged into the wall, not just into your USB hub. Massive waste of money imho.
