QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan).

waite, the patch is huge it usually takes a few minutes for the install info to come up. Click run go away and put the kettle on

It can take up to 5 minutes to run after opening the exe. Id take spook's advice before further action

If you haven't already done it, turn UAC off. You'll probably need to do it to get the PR files to download.

Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control Off

Then uncheck the box and press okay and it will probably restart your computer. Thats okay. Then whenever you turn on it will give you a little popup asking if you want to turn UAC on again. If you want to you can, but it will take forever to open unkown .exe files.

[uAC] aims to improve the security of Microsoft Windows by limiting application software to standard user privileges until an administrator authorizes an increase in privilege level. In this way' date=' only applications that the user trusts receive higher privileges, and malware should be kept from receiving the privileges necessary to compromise the operating system. That should sort ya out. I haven't had it on since I got my computer last year, no problems yet (touch wood).

nope not even close having major fails, luckily i haven't lost a drive yet. i am just closing things up and making sure i am all backed up and then i go and send this junker off to someone that knows what they are doing.

i have no patience and no skills, and i tend to blow up and smash stuff (i have issues ok)

so before i rage up, i am going to pack this bloody thing away, and ship it out to the sparkies,

i promise to repost here when its working again, and i can get back to the goods.

got it back from the sparkies, so turns out i have been running on an old (unofficial government agency OS) corrupt system. and it has endemic registry fails and problems. its simply not set up for gaming. so untill i go and dunk this and format it, i have to deal with a few problems inherent in the OS.

oh well you cant win them all.
