This new patch has changed the game we all know that, one of the things it has really highlighted is the community’s attitude to transporting people.

, on maps like fools road, we keep getting people jumping into the APC's and basically driving off in there own little world not giving a stuff about any one else, iv even seen many people during roll out jump into the APC and not bothering to pick any one up,

There whole peropus of the APC on this map is to provide transport and to support the infantry, yet all i see is people driving off alone and using them to lone wolfing and whore kills.

Id really like it if people would actually give a about other people and actually go back and pick every one up and not just during roll out. Face it if you chose to crew an APC's you should have a obligation to act as the team's shophar there should be no question to this and no alternative.

i believe any one who crews the APC, and there is a squad back at base that needs a lift, they should drop what your doing and go back and pick them up. A APC is not a tanks it a armoured transport,

I hope we can get some thing done im sick of this problem, some thing needs to be done,

Armour can't be single crewed anymore, but I agree that there seems to be a shortage of vehicles atm.....

Example: Kashan - once the APC's and the Tanks are gone, there are no humvees to use as simple point A-point B transport..

another teamwork whinge thread...

Normally you get people who actually wait to see if a squads going to jump in but a lot of the nufties use them as mini tanks... Just walk towards a reg's APC and most of the time if they see you there they will give you a lift. you just need to communicate with them!

And its impossible to single crew apc's anymore so no need to worry about that :)

The reason i love LAVs so much is because they combine extreme firepower and the most important bit: troop transport capability with VERY good mobility and speed.

I'll drop everything in a game to transport a squad around, anyone who is in an APC should, including BRDMs.

Well recently most some of us !GuN! guys have actually just made squads within games dedicated to just transporting people around the map or even just dropping supplies or even repairs... It's just teamwork, and frankly that's what some people lack of, but it's for us people that do have teamwork capabilities to actually help those people out, and point out things like picking up things along the way... or even send the logi truck back to HQ to re-supply the truck and maybe send it to another area so that that can help out with another squad..

I've done the whole logi transport thing before for a whole round but I find, one of the main problems is, that not many people read the chat so a lot of time is spent at base, typing over teamchat if people want supplies.

It doesn't always happen like that but I had one round that was ridiculous.

You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.

meh this has been a problem long before the latest patch...

usually it's the asset whores who grab all the APC's and use them as a sort of cavelry who are the problem.

My suggestion would be to only give points to APC's who transport troops (i,e; no kill points only teamwork).

Not getting wierd or anything on you dtacs but when I see dtacs play, and when I was rolling with him, he is a great player in the APC's asking all squads if anyone needs a lift, while defending anyone who requires assistance.

That's how the game should work and yes we are always going to get the lone wolf players much like we are always going to get the newb players, so we can't do much other than teach them how to play if they are willing to learn.

thankyou tyla.

people underestimate the power of APC transport, especially on maps like muttrah, to get from one side of the city to the other the best way is in an apc, choppers are just too dangerous unless its going from carrier > docks/north.

Like the APC's on Jabal last night.

Wait.

No.

I mean we had no trans cause people decided to ignore reports of the BRDM and flew straight into them.

While the APC's did sweet nothing.

One thing I have noticed, is the change to where you can request kits from really failed at forcing teams to use APC's as more of a troop support, they are still just used as roaming tanks.

another teamwork whinge thread...

When I see people acting like vanilla noobs and being total jerk's then yeah il whinge il also extend my size ten boot straight into there tiny ball's and brake them into equivalent smaller pieces to match the size of there fried and retarded brains. Why should i have to put up with people who don't give a **** about any one else.

Flame over. sorry if i laid it on too thick

this whole mod is about team work, we all rely on each other when we play this game and when some thing is not getting done then it needs to be addressed.

In the old patch's you could get away with not using APC's as transports, but times have changed. Rally points arn't a very reliable resource any more and we can't rely on them exclusively any more, it only takes two people just walking by there vicinity and they are totally inoperable.

So unless there is a fire base most of the time the team is stranded. not rare accordance ether

.

So all im saying if you got a APC. and there are squads that need transport give them a lift, don't be a arse hole and just go tank whore

Yeah maybe but I think you'd have to draw the line at BMP's being used as taxi's.....LAV's sure, but a BMP is a Tank killer.....a lav isn't...

Aye, but should the BMP be shown on any other map other than Kashan, that's what it will become. (and IRL, thats what the BMP is)

Never said the lav is a tank killer, it doesn't even make an appearance on any maps that have a tank in it.

Al Kuhda Oilfields? Quai River? Before the patch...

I hate Quai now.

Liked it better before it was "patched and fixed"

Well, threatening people on the internet Rhys probably isn't the way to get an argument across. Acting 'tough' on internet will also make more of a fool of yourself than anything else.
