Ok I hope Admin dont mind this post going here but its in relation to Server Improvements

 

Ok so lately we have seen a lot of threads on server playablility, complaints of tardism, newbies and poor team play in general. Most of these threads are getting locked because the posts are not supportive or constuctive.

 

We have some good positive posts about educating and taking the new players onboard and teaching them, but if a player is doing something wrong they should be reported it makes the admin aware of them and they can be monitored/banned or warned if a member. Most players are aware of Tard play and most BF2 servers ban trouble players.

 

The Admins are repeating them selves stating that complaints should go through them and not through forum threads.

 

Afaik we have Battlecorder running on the servers and so if you cant get a screen shot of the trouble maker make a note of the player name, server and time of incident and forward it to the admins.

 

If the community moderates the servers and we report the people that are being tards and they get a little holiday or a warning then its another step in improving the servers

 

If your not willing to report play that should be, dont complain

 

Note: Not all actions may constitute a ban but if the play warrants a friendly admin reminder to a community member about general play, teamwork or behaviour so be it.

I would go the extra step and put together a guide on creating reports from BR files, how to get pbguids etc.

Unfortunately I'm not that techy but if the incident warrants a look the BR files are there just need to know the player the game time for Admin to have a look see I think

BR files are only available on server 3 AFAIK, reason been it lags a fully populated 64 slot server.

Ok last thing I saw posted was it was on 2 + 3 soon to be 1 but yeah I recall it did lag servers.

absolutely correct

 

multiple reports regarding a player helps build up a case for the admins in taking further action. Additionally, I hope (taking off my propie admin hat here) that reports from trusted community members also carry significantly more weight also.

 

 

Edit: I've noticed a lot more qq'ing over global... tbh honest it doesn't help the admins who are in-game from sorting out the tardish behaviour ingame.... frustrates me a lot - remember the admins just want to enjoy their gaming time too and sorting out minor squabbles isn't what we're there for...

Ouch, 1.5 hour rounds sped up still equals a lot of work for the admins.

True S.O.P and I'm sure they dont like doing it either lol but at least as Noddy said it helps
