Posted May 22, 200915 yr Does anyone need anything done in 3D as I am out of work at the moment and I am a draftsman by trade. Being stuck at home all day is getting boring. I need something to do apart from playing PR which I have been playing a lot of lately I like playing PR but I would like to do something else to pass the time. Some of my work that I was doing in my spare time. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”
May 22, 200915 yr Author No I don't. But I have Inventor 2009 and AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 plus SolidWorks 2009 all here at home. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”
May 22, 200915 yr Can you do an intricate 1:1 model of a Dehaviland Mosquito? Theres a bit of a challenge! http://i.imgur.com/E1qdM.png
May 22, 200915 yr Could you do some research into how to model a thin crack? http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/2561/bigdsig.jpg
May 22, 200915 yr Author Could you do some research into how to model a thin crack? What do you mean??? I can do a model of a thin crack how thin are you talking .1mm or smaller?? in steel or other. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”

May 22, 200915 yr Author AllYourBase11 and Shufflex go and spam another thread..... If you can not come up with a decent reply to this thread then don't reply. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”
May 22, 200915 yr have you considered posting over at the realitymod forums if anybody needs your services for any projects? http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
May 22, 200915 yr LOL I am actually genuinely intersted being a draftperson myself albeit 2D so I was interested in the possible uses of a 3D crack, however now I shall regretfully withdraw my ???. I hope you enjoy the rest of your unemployed lonely day LOL. May 22, 200915 yr Good initiative 12uke. My housemates a structural engineer and is rather busy ATM. Works in a small engineering firm in Red Hill. Ill ask him if they need a draughty.
May 22, 200915 yr Author Shufflex not probs. If you wanted an answer you should have asked a bit more than ??? I am still looking for info on it. Noddy I did not think of that will post up there as well. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”

May 22, 200915 yr Author Could you do some research into how to model a thin crack? Abstract: In the ideal crack model (negligible thickness and an impenetrable barrier to electric current) in eddy-current testing frame, the field-flaw is equivalent to a current dipole layer on its surface. This dipole density is the solution of an integral equation with a hyperstrong kernel. This model has shown its efficiency, as well the computing accuracy, as for the CPU time. Furthermore, the case of a current leakage across crack was considered by introducing an equivalent conductivity of the crack. This paper aims at simulating a local varying conductivity. In particular, we focus on a constant piecewise conductivity. In this last case, because of the presence of the hypersingular kernel in the equation, the numerical scheme using the ideal case has to be modified. Is this what you are talking about.???? It looks like there is a lot of stuff about it on the weeeb. “The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with,"Watches you from the mirror every morning'.”
May 22, 200915 yr You could perhaps get in contact with Ancientman or Nedlands and help work on a model required for the ADF faction for PR? I'm pretty sure they still really need a model for the bushmaster. I'm sure your help would most certainly be appreciated.

May 22, 200915 yr come irc.. ancientman is there http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
May 22, 200915 yr I need to model a rolling element over a thin crack, so yes it would be steel, haven't looked too much into what sort of steel though. When I get some more time I'll show you a pic of what I mean. Got too many assignments due over the next few weeks. http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/2561/bigdsig.jpg
May 22, 200915 yr I see your into RC? Cool. Free cad works sounds good Is the above image in inventor? I have it but don't do stuff that advanced Ive just been playing with it to give me ideas for a bumper for my 4x4 as well as some chassis designs for rc stuff.. Id like to get/try solid works but its hard to get a hold of for vista lol. A question, Do you have contacts for getting things that you design fabricated / manufactured at a good price as well? May 22, 200915 yr Do you do 3dsmax? If so, where are you located? I maybe able to find you a job or two. http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/merc.bmp On the topic of shiny auscam... the sound they made while bush walking made it seem like I was doing mean things to little furry animals inside my pants
May 22, 200915 yr Thanks I have mainly been into sheet metal in the making of concrete agitators. Sorry big no from my mate, he reckons draughties are lining up at the door 6 deep.......
