I assume you've already loaded the kb software? If not, do that and it should display info for you. fwicr it just displays how many unread emails you have, haven't really played with it too much...

 

What are some of your G keys set up as for

BF2 PR ????

never really tried anything there. i know some blokes have put a macro in for BF2 (nillah) where they press a G key and it follows something like this (assuming they've killed a medic and they aren't a medic)

1. pickup enermy kit

2. switch to medipack

3. drop medipack

4. pickup own kit

5. switch to main wep

 

now some prolly consider that a cheat, dunno myself but yeah.

 

other ones i've heard of is you press a G key and it acts like you've pulled the trigger 3 or 4 times, so one key press replaces a number of key presses. most ppl i've spoken to tho consider that a cheat.

I'm pretty sure it should have come with a CD? This will have all the drivers etc on it.

 

If you don't have this CD you can go to http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/434/3498&cl=us,en?WT.ac=sc|downloads||dd and download the drivers.

 

There are also loads of mods out for this keyboard, just google search and you shall receive.

Get the latest version and it will find mumble automatically once you open mumble.

Using the G keys to set macros or keystokes for specific tasks ie drop kit, pick up kit, drop kit is regarded as an exploit/hack always has.

Macro users rate as highly as aimbots users. I know GA look at macro user as cheats except in specific cases like saving the keystrokes for the RCON/Admin commands to one of the G keys.

im not sure if pb likes the program for macros in bf2, i only use the LCD anyway and iv never been kicked for that..

You an still use the Logitech software for the KB you just have to disable the Logitech G-series Keyboard profiler. This is the program that is causing your PB kicks as PB views it as a 3rd party program which is what they are trying to stop ATM.

Also make sure oyur npot running any programs like AHK in the background.

Will try without the profiler running as I just got kicked with version 2.00 driver for the keyboard.

With version 2.00 and the profiler turned off I did not get kicked woo hhooo

Mate, there was a thread about the mumble overlay cause PB kicks. Turn off your mumble overlay and try again.

Are you running the mumble overlay by any chance? The overlay can cause this same error. http://www.bigdgaming.net/showthread.php?t=7335 is the thread I posted up, is the same error code so it may not be the keyboard at all

I have been running the overlay since I started using mumble and bot been kicked. But as soon as I got the new keyboard I have been kicked started friday with the new G15.

It is just coincidence. PB released an update to remove hacks that work with overlays. Xfire had this problem a while back, as did fraps, now its Mumbles turn. It seems that you just happened to buy your G15 Keyboard when this all happened causing confusion. Nobody can use the overlay, it isn't just you

i got a g15 no problems with it at all profile manager thingy always running i just have a g button to shoot and another 1 to breath whilest sniping. if this is a problem im happy to turn them off

Nah i think the G-keys kick by pb was mostly used to stop pixel shots, solo tv guiding & dolphin diving. None of which apply in pr. I dunno why you haven't been kicked though :S

 

Maybe you have an old version?

I have been using a G15 since i started playing PR, and as long as you only

have the LCD Manager running you wont have a problem, i can have everything running with no problem (i dont have the G keys set up so that might help to keep it stable in PR), but some people who do have problems close the lot except for the LCD Manager and it seems to fix itself, i cant say for sure if it works, that's just what i heard

I have installed the G15 again with 2.00 and I did not get kicked. This is without the Mumble overlay running. wooo hoooo. Now installing driver 3.01.180 for the keyboard. Mumble 1.1.8 does not show on the LCD at the moment will see if the latest driver will do it or not.

Make sure you use mumble not mumble (pr edition)

I have the mumble 1.1.8 loaded (not PR edition) and still nothing on the LCD, the g15 is running 3.01.180 driver. So I don't know what the go is there. I have had the G15 running from friday and play on friday night for the Cheifryzzza movie stars and did not get kicked at all but I was using TS and not mumble. doh

Very strange

 

1) See if the G15 support box is enabled in the expert section of mumble settings

 

2) Make sure that mumble in ticked on both sides within the LCD manager program

 

3) Restart computer

After the shut down over night It now can see Mumble. The Logitech LCD Manager is a bit touchy. As It won't open up for me, wouldn't last night and still won't this morning after the boot up.???
