From a mates dad (Pte R.L.Shepherd), he took these whilst on active duty in 68-69.

...They were taken the same day/in the hours before the Battle of FSB Coral commenced. FSB Coral was the largest single battle fought by australian soldiers in the entire war, lasting some 15(?) days.

have the book The Battle of Coral: Vietnam Fire Suport Bases Coral and Balmoral by Lex McAulay which I personally think is a better read than the Battle of Long Tan by the same author.

 

First to Fight by Bob Breen is also a good read.
