Common Sense Rules The Day.

 

Our server motto is fully applicable to our forums as well:- Teamwork and Maturity Required.

 

Our forums are provided for our community. This is a forum dedicated to Project Reality as an addition to our GamingSA hosted PR servers, but is in many aspects a place to discuss a wide range of topics in a friendly and open manner.

 

Although we are aware that the average age of those who play the Project Reality mod is higher than most online games, there is no restriction forbidding children reading/joining/participating in our forum discussions - infact we have plenty of "underage" forum members - please keep this in mind at all times.

 

To keep yourself out of trouble, please keep these simple guidelines in mind when posting:

 

No porn of any kind (even soft porn) and no racist or blatantly sexist posts.

No media that depicts real death or loss of life (human or otherwise) - this includes graphical violence (real or implied).

Do not insult other members - respect their opinion. This includes racial attacks. Do not post inflammatory media with the intention of insulting another member/s.

Do not repeatedly swear and do not use any foul or extreme language - even better, try to keep swearing in check altogether as it is not necessary or useful in any conversation that may take place here. To keep it plain and simple - just do not post swear words - they aren't needed.

Do not post content of an illegal nature with respect to torrents or streaming sites of copyrighted material, etc.

 

 

No political or religious discussions - these threads/posts will be locked and deleted on sight. Both subjects are far too sensitive to be entered into here. There are plenty of other forums out there dedicated to these sorts of discussions.

 

Subjects that typically lead to an argument may be locked or removed immediately.

 

Infractions will be given when deemed appropriate by an admin or forum moderator.

 

Infractions:

Infractions are given for posts/forum behavior that is counterproductive to our community spirit, posts offensive in nature and/or for breaching any of the above forum guidelines.

The infraction system is currently set so that most infractions are given as 10 points per infraction issued. Each infraction is active for for one month. Accumulating a total of 30 active points will result in an automatic restriction of your forum account. Restricted Users have only a small amount of access to the forum areas, amongst other restrictions.

More serious incidents may result in a heavier infraction (ie; posting embedded videos depicting real life loss of life/gore/violence will result in an instant account restriction).

 

 

This is the first and only warning you will receive. Ignorance will not be tolerated as an excuse.

 

Any appeals for removing a ban, asking about a kick from the servers or an infraction in the forums will only be considered if the appropriate methods are used click here for details

Our Forums the Written Medium:

 

Posts easily effect the atmosphere of the forums. We would like to reiterate and state that forums, such as this one, are communication solely on a written medium. Given that our community is not made up of award winning writers, this often leads to confusion. So please think of how you phrase your posts, try to keep them as neutral and as factual as possible when trying to get your point across. If you are using some form of secondary, implied meaning (relative to the topic or not), make it obvious with the use of smileys or other devices. These little things will help the forums remain clean, tidy and fun we thank you for your support in this.

 

To put it simply

- Keep it clean and to the point.

- Think about how your opinions might affect others.

- Re-read your posts to be sure your point is coming across clearly.

- Take the time to think about how your response might read and be interpreted by others.

- Ask yourself is this thread going to help the community.

- Please write in normal English so that we can all understand.

- Use the smileys if you're kidding/angry/being sarcastic/etc - the use of smileys helps to convey the mood of your post.
